The day was normal until the dog.

It started with my friends, Ishaandeep, and Ryan. We were doing normal things. Like you mortals do.

Basically, I'm a normal teenage girl. Read books. I love Greek mythology. My favourite books are the Percy Jackson series and Heroes of Olympus

Anyways. The story.

At recess, we were outside and started talking.

"Guys," I said. "Do you know anything about Greek mythology?"

"No," Ryan said. "Why does it matter anyway?"

"I didn't say it mattered," I said, getting a little annoyed. "Thanks for your opinion."

I really didn't like it when someone didn't respect my interests.

"Woah, Tina," Ishaandeep said. "He was just asking."

"Yeah," Ryan said. "But honestly, why does every ancient country have mythologies?"

"I think it's so they wouldn't be bored all the time," Ishaandeep suggested.

"No," I said. "It's because they all had beliefs, you know, like Christian people."

"Okay," Ryan said. "Also, what if-"

Before Ryan could finish, a giant black dog approached us.

"What...is...that?!" Ryan asked.

"No clue," Ishaandeep said.

"Maybe it's friendly?" I asked hopefully. Just then, the dog snarled and started coming towards us.

"Yeah, don't think so," Ishaandeep said. "Why are we standing here? Run!"

I didn't need to be asked twice, I bounded towards the school doors.

"Hey!" A teacher yelled at us, but we kept running.

"Do people not see this giant dog??!!" Ryan asked.

"I don't know," Ishaandeep said. "Maybe they're crazy?"

"Maybe we're crazy," I said. "Doesn't matter."

We turned and Ishaandeep remembered something, "Oh! I have a knife in my lunch bag! I'll go get it!"

Ishaandeep turned another way, but the dog didn't seem to notice him.

I looked behind and got a good look at the dog when suddenly it reminded me of something.

"No way.." I muttered.

"What?!" Ryan asked.

"Nevermind," I said. "Keep running!"

It can't be! I thought. This might just be a dream. So it doesn't matter if I die. Right?
We suddenly burst through the back door, and I saw cars everywhere. I didn't know what to do next.

I turned around and saw the dog bounding towards us, we're dead.

Ishaandeep saved the day though, he stabbed the dog in the neck and yelled, "Keep running!"

Ishaandeep took the knife out of the dog's neck and ran behind us.

Our luck then ran out, Ishaandeep threw his knife at the dog, but it only bounced off its body.

"Oh no," I said. "We're dead guys."

"Yup," Ishaandeep agreed.

Just when we thought our luck was totally out, a dagger came out of nowhere and impaled the dog.
