Sebastian walked gradually to the kitchen to make sure that everything was cleaned up and organized for him to use in the morning. He lit the candles in the candlestick and walked around the kitchen.
In the corner, all cuddled together, was the three servants, Mey-rin, Baldroy, and Finnian, asleep peacefully. Sebastian wasn't surprised or mad at all. He knew that they toiled and worked really hard, not getting any time to rest and that it was really late at night. They were humans after all and humans need their sleep to get themselves their energy to get the job done without fail.
He quickly grabbed a blanket and covered them all up with it then started a fire in the furnace near them. Then Sebastian took off Mey-rin's glasses, Finnian's hat and took Baldroy's cigarette out of his mouth. He placed them on the counter next to them and smiled at how peaceful and warm they were all cuddled together like kittens. He could even hear a kitten meowing in his head.
But he actually heard it from his own ears. A helpless kitten, not far from him, crying for help then dogs growling which almost muted the kitten's cry but it still cried out for help. He had to do something to rescue the poor little one and silence the noise so it wouldn't wake the whole manor. He rushed out the back door and round the corner to see what he was hearing.
There was a little grey tabby cat with blue sapphire like eyes, quivering in fear and cornered by two savage dogs, growling and baring their fangs at the fearful little creature. Sebastian's anger, for his hatred of dogs, these dogs especially for torturing such a poor little kitten and scaring it half to death, boiled through his veins that made him want to just attack them and rip them to slivers. But he would do no such thing. It would frighten the kitten, even more, wake up the whole manor and it would cause too much of a mess that would be almost impossible to clean up. So scaring off the dogs was the only option.
He slid in between the kitten and the vicious dogs then let his demon eyes form with a smirk on his face.
"Pardon my intrusion, gentlemen, but if you mess with such a poor innocent kitten, you mess with me. I'm sure that you don't want that, now do you?" He asked, staring into the dogs' eyes.
The dogs only growled in reply and Sebastian sighed a heavy sigh then walked towards the biggest dog of the two. He gripped the dog by the neck and with his demon strength, hoisted the creature up and threw him far as he could throw, which was very far away. After the first dog was out of sight, Sebastian turned his head at the other dog and raised an eyebrow at it.
"Wish to go next or do you wish to run and never come back?" He asked with the same smirk on his face and the dog retreated as fast as its legs could take itself, towards the direction where the first dog was flung.
"Thought so," He said wiping the dirt off his hands in victory and he let his demon eyes blink away.
After the dog was far from his sight and Sebastian adjusted his jacket, Sebastian turned to see the kitten, staring at him and still trembling. He gradually knelt and pulled out a cat treat from his pocket, leaving it in his hand.
"It's alright, little one. I'm not going to hurt you. I bet you're exhausted and hungry after such an unpleasant event." He cooed softly and the cat's trembling slowed and it slowly, in curiosity, took a few steps towards him but then tripped and meowed in pain.
Sebastian's eyes widened and he picked up the little animal into his arms and carried it to the kitchen, where the warmth of the furnace filled the room.
