I am rather sorry for the long wait everyone! I have had an extremely unpleasant case of writers' block. Which is why some of you may for may not have seen updating or creating new stories for your entertainment. Without further ado, here is chapter 7 of The Power of 5!

Cold metal touched my face as I opened my eyes, groaning as the pain registered to my body's nervous system. "Stacy, Ari, guys? You alright?" I shifted towards my group as the driver of the vehicle stopped as the brakes hissed in protest. Not knowing if the others were alive, I played dead as I heard massive footprints coming closer.

Two men stopped and opened the door as one of them climbed in and grabbed William over his shoulder. Despite wanting to bite the ankle of the man carrying my friend, I knew it was best to pretend to be asleep. Silently sniffing the environment around me, I smelled what appeared to be freshly turned dirt with sounds of machinery coming from somewhere within the building.

Upon going through several doors. I saw lights flickering followed by a scream, and then gunfire. 'Dame it not again.' I thought as Ari, William, and I were tossed into a room with another boy.

Making sure that they were gone, I opened my eyes and leaned against a wall for support as the boy checked the pulse of my male friends as a small jade-colored light escaped from his fingers. He gave me a thumbs-up as I nodded my head as both of my friends groaned.

William and Ari looked around the room and rolled upward as the Maori necromancer spoke a simple question. "What happened?"

"I hate to say it, but it seems like we are in some government prison. Again." I told them as I managed to break through the zip-tie cuffs after a few tries. "Still, you'd think they would use those neutralizer cuffs they placed on us before we escaped." My friends nodded their heads as they broke their bounds as well.

William looked outside of the small window and kicked the door in frustration, causing a guard to come toward us. The female guard looked inside our cell and spoke an unfamiliar language. Ari spoke back, frustration clear as day in his voice.

William walked around the small area with the four of us in it. An hour passed as we heard the sound of sobbing. The jaded healer reached as far as he could when we saw small, ghostly tentacles of green energy envelop the crying woman. Then the guard threw her into a cell, for an instant we saw the small figure of Stacy.
