As Israel walked down the hallway, I unconsciously grabbed his free hand so that I could stay closer to him. Nervous was a fucking understatement at this point. I honestly didn't know what to expect. My anxious inner thoughts were disrupted when we finally stopped walking. We stopped in front of two black double doors that read 'Studio 6'. He looked over at me one time before taking a key out and opening it up. I guess from my facial expressions he could tell something was up.

"K you ain't gotta be nervous."

As we entered the room, he switched on a few light switches revealing the studio. The dimly blue-lit lights covered it in a calm ambiance. This had his laidback personality written all over it.

"You be here regularly?" I asked walking around the equipment table tapping a few piano keys.

He nodded. "At least three of four nights out of the week. I usually record shit two days in a row, then Shooter comes in and we mix for the next two. And repeat." He said shrugging. He motioned me to come sit on the small futon couch with him as he started to take the food out of the bags.

"You make it sound like that's nothing." I said laughing sitting down closely next to him. I grabbed one of the paper plates out of the white bag along with some napkins. He set the container full of food in the middle between us and opened it. I reached over into my clutch and grabbed my hand sanitizer, putting some into both of our hands. I grabbed one of the pieces of fish onto my plate putting mild sauce all over it.

I looked over and watched as K ate her food.

"Do I have sauce on my face? I'm sorry, the food is soooo good." She said as she took another bite. I finished up my food and threw the paper plate into the trash.

"Oh word,  don't say sorry mama, glad you liked it." I got up from the futon and went into the connected closet to grab the weed stuff.  I came back out to her texting away on her phone. I sat in the rolling chair at the producer keyboard and got ready to roll up. I powered up the keyboard and connected my phone to the studio's aux. I nodded my head as 'Crush on you'  played through the speakers.

"Shall I proceed, yes indeed!" I turned around hearing her walking towards me rapping Lil Kim's part. I noticed she had took her heels off and got comfortable. I pulled up another chair next to mine and grabbed her manicured feet in one motion sitting them across my lap. I laughed as she continued to rap the song while I licked the blunt sealing it.

"Pass me that lighter mama." I held the freshly rolled blunt up to my lips as she passed the all blue bic lighter to me sparking it up. I took a few inhales of the blunt before passing it to her.
