A DROP OF TEAR

Their she sits  on the ground her tan skin kissed by the sun,the breeze blowing her hair in different direction, her almond eyes blurred in tears and her hands tightly wrapped around herself as she continuously rock herself back and forth.

" I can't bare this", she chants out her eyes tightly closed as the tears find their way down her cheeks.

She sat in comfortable silent until her sobs died down, she raised her head and stare at the sun.

Gabrielle walked her way home as it was getting late, on her way thinking of what she might face with her father when she arrives.

Yes she has her biological parent but only her mum showed her love not to talk of the father. Her father rants to her that he loves her but does not know how to show it to her, her and her mother have gone through alot.

When she entered through the doors of the house she was faced with a sight she prayed not to see.

Her father was beating her mother and Gabrielle ran towards them to get her mum  from him.

"Father please stop!, you are hurting her", Gabrielle shouted.

"It all because of this mistake here", her father fumed out.

Gabrielle felt her right cheek sting with pain but this is not the first time it had happened.

She could care less about the pain but right now how mothers safety comes first.

"Mum?!, Mum?!, please mum open your eyes", Gabrielle pleaded as she continously sob.

Her mother groaned in agony, she opened her eyes and stared at her beautiful daughter.

"Did you go to church?", her mother questioned.

"Mum this is not the time to ask that, come on let me take you to your room", Gabrielle helped her mother up as they slowly walked to her room.

"Rest, let me go and prepare food for you and dad", she said as she left her mum but not forgetting to give her a kiss on the forehead.

After preparing dinner for her parents she set the dining table for her father and went with her mother's food into her room.

"Mum it time to eat, come on", she helped her mother sit up and fed her, they had their small talk.

It was getting to 10:00pm and her mum was fast asleep.

Gabrielle got up and went to check the doors to ensure that they are closed.

It is true that her father is a well known man in the country and wealthy as well.

After making sure they were secured in the house, she went into her room to take a warm bath after that she knelt and prayed to God.

When she was done she got in bed and darkness consumed her.
