A few days went by and Louis had still been trying to get on my good side – which is a contradiction in itself, for I no longer have one. Paul said that I’m being disrespectful, and he made the mistake of telling me that in front of Louis. Do you know what I said? I said that there’s nothing to respect anymore. I think I may have taken that one a little far; Louis started crying and just gave up. It wasn’t until a signing in Cologne, Germany; we were forced to be near each other again.

It was quite boring at first; the fans were just standard, no one going out of their way to make themselves noticeable. One fan did get Niall to sign a German marriage contract, which was hilarious – but Simon thought it was a ‘you had to be there’ moment since he didn’t find it funny at all. I went through the familiar motions with the signing and such until something brightly colored caught my eye. A fan brought a red balloon shaped in a heart with writing scribbled on one side of it.

Louis was first to see her. “Hello, how are you today?” He grumbled in his monotone, still pouting about having to sit by me.

The girl handed him the balloon. I glanced over to Louis’ hand and the balloon read ‘I ship bullshit.’

“You and me both,” I said under my breath so only Louis could hear me before dying with laughter. I almost fell out of my folding chair at the sheer joy that balloon brought me. I wiped my eyes and told the fan that I loved her (in English because I wasn’t sure how to say ‘I love you’ in German). Louis simply tossed the balloon over his shoulder and forced a smile.

“How come you tossed the balloon like that?” I joked with him. “I like the balloon, it’s quite nice. The balloon doesn’t deserve to be treated that way, Louis. The balloon is much like a persons emotions. Mustn’t be toyed with!” I shook my finger at him as he just sat there and stared blankly as the signing droned on and on.

Once the signing was through and we hopped in the car, Louis gave me a well-deserved punch in the gut, which knocked every molecule of air out of my lungs. My life flashed before my eyes. The only thing I managed to strangle out was, “I think I’m color blind now…” Niall, Liam, and Zayn started laughing while Louis flashed a winning smirk.

I think I heard him whisper to me, “How’s that for emotions, Styles?” and I couldn’t help but smile.

I had to get my mind off of the pain in my lower abdomen, “Paul, where to next?”

“Harry, what the hell happened?” He looked back from the driver’s seat at me. “You look like you just got hit by a bus!”

“He might as well have,” Niall chuckled.

“Damn right…” Louis huffed, hugging his forearms.

“Louis, what did you do?” Paul sounded as though he might blow a gasket. “I’ve had enough of you two fighting and such, you are going to make up right now, and I’m not driving another kilometer until you figure it out!” he pulled the car over to a road that looked as if it hadn’t been seen - let alone used - in ages.

We all sat in an uncomfortable silence while Paul urged us to speak. I couldn’t take it anymore. Not talking to him, ignoring him - I was becoming an emotional wreck!

I burst out into a fit of blubbering, which was not very becoming if I do say so myself, and he started doing the same.

“We have a meeting with Modest! tomorrow morning,” Paul whispered as Louis and I both cried. We stayed as far away from each other as possible until the next morning.
