VR Chapter 6

As I opened the door there laid Eli, his shirt torn in places. Some of the wounds still bleeding. I quickly picked him up and carried home inside kicking the door shut behind me and carried him to the couch and laid him down. As I laid him on his back I saw the big deep cut going down from his left shoulder. I went and got a few towels, started to try and clean his wounds up. As I cleaned his wounds I heard a vibrating sound then a loud thud which made me jump a bit as I looked I saw his phone on the floor with the screen lit up. I hesitated but then picked it up and looked at the screen. Most the messages were from his pack but my eyes stopped at one name that wasn't a guy it read "Cassy" I clicked the name and it opened her messages. I looked didn't seem like he had responded but she had messaged him a lot saying "babe!?", "babe where you at?!", "everyone else came back they said you took off and you were hurt!?! Please answer me or come home babe." I quickly put the phone face down on the table, my eyes started to burn a little as I fought back the tears. D'Angelo's words ringing through my head," he could never love a monster " I shook my head after wrapping his wounds and laying a blanket on him I went to my room. Looking out the window I tried to shake the thought of that girl but I couldn't. "Should have figured, I'll just start cutting him off after this," I told my self looking at my phone and his goofy picture he had set as my background. I threw my phone on my bed and crossed my arms "idiot!" I growled to my self going to my bed and laying down pushing my phone off to the floor in the process. Slowly I dozed off and fell asleep only to be tormented by my night terrors. I tossed and turned in my sleep, unknowing that Eli had awaken and stood in my door way watching me sleep with the blanket now drapped over his shoulders. He made his way over to my bed and sat next to me putting his hands on me and gently shaking me "Quinn, Quinn hunny wake up, your having a nightmare," he said calmly. I jolted up my eyes filled with fear as I panted. "Quinn what happened?" he asked. I just looked away from him trying to keep my self together. "Did he show up here at all?" Eli asked concern filled his eyes. I shook my head still keeping my eyes down. "Good he said he was going to come here, that's why I got here as quick as I could when he vanished, bastard, "Eli growled and winced at the pain from his wounds that had almost healed, all but the big gash that was on his chest. "I told you he wasn't someone to mess with, this is why you don't need to be around me, your only going to get hurt or worse, "I said my tone cold. Eli was taken back by my tone "I don't care, I'll fight him everyday if I have too just to be around you, "he said. I gritted my teeth "I don't want you around Eli!" Eli looked confused "Quinn come on stop talking like this you don't..." I cut him off "Yes I mean it Eli, werewolves and vampires can't be together anyways, I'm sure your pack is wondering where your at." I said my tone still cold as I got up and pulled away from Eli. He jumped up and came next to me "Quinn what has gotten into you this dosen't sound like you!?" "Just go Eli," was all I could manage to say at this point. I felt as if I was chokimg just to say anything to him knowing he be safer this way, plus the other girl, I closed my eyes and clenched my fist. "Quinn.....ill go if that's what you really want....ill be back to check on you though, "he said gently as he headed out of my room and to the door grabbing his cell phone from the table and closed the front door behind him. After hearing the door click shut I dropped to my knees as tears rolled down my face.

As Eli walked home he opened his phone and saw that Cassy's message we're opened and he growled now understanding why Quinn was being that way. "God damn it!" he snapped he messaged Cassy back " I'm fine but im not your babe nothing like that now stop calling me that! I've told you im not interested in you that way! How much more do I have to say it" and he hit send. Opening a new message he sent Quinn a text explaining that Cassy is one of the wolves in his pack that wants to be with him, but he has turned her down many times. "Please, please read my message Quinn." He begged softly. I was sitting at my table drinking on a blood bag as my phone lit up and vibrated on the table the notification read "text message: Eli" I shook my head and slowly reached for my phone and opened his messaged reading it slowly. I shook my head and replied "ok, you don't have anything to explain to me." Eli sat on the bench that they had sat at on there first little date they had, he jumped as his phone dinged and read Quinn's reply. He growled and started to type back "Then if it wasn't Cassy then what is it why you shutting me out!?" Throwing away two empty blood bags I grabbed my phone as it dinged and sat on the couch reading the text. "I told you it would never work out so why kid our selves." I answered back laying the phone back down as I laid were Eli had been on the couch. Eli read the messaged almost throwing his phone he stopped himself. "Who said that!? That bastard of a bloodsucker?! I'll kill him! Will that change your mind then if I go and kill him Quinn!?!?" he sent. Quinn sat up quickly reading Eli's text. I called Eli. "Yes Quinn?" he answered trying to sound calm. "No killing him isn't going to fix anything, I told you that you are a werewolf and im a vampire..." I started as he cut e off. "Who told you that!? That dosen't matter if the people care for one another and I care about you damn it!!!, , " he snapped. I sat kind of shocked for a few moments. "But why you hardly know me, "I answered softly. Eli calmed down and brought his tone down, "I may not know you but I want to know you, "he said softly "can I come back over and we can talk?" I sighed heavily "Have you checked in with your pack?" I asked. "I text them everything is fine now they know im fine they thought I went to track that bastered after he vanished, " Eli answered. "So can I come back over love?" I paused debating in my head whether this be a good idea or not. Withing heavily I answered, "Fine." He chuckled "I'll be there in a few im here at the park which not to far from you." He said and hung up. I sat my phone on the table grinning a little at the thought of how childish he was acting.

Hearing a knock I got up and went to the door opening it "That was fa.., "I started to say getting cut off by a hand around my throat, being pushed back. My eyes met the red eyes of D'Angelo as he slammed the door shut. I looked and saw some open wounds along with many that had freshly healed. He growled as he slammed me against the wall lifting me up. " Your little wolf is strong in a pack but im sure alone he be easy to take down, "he hissed as his grip grew tighter. "Wonder how mad he get if he found you here dead hm?? What you think Quinn??"

Suddenly the door slammed open as a big black and white wolf burst through and slammed it's self into D'Angelo snarling and growling. I fell to the floor trying to catch my breathe. D'Angelo got to his feet his eyes glowing "You damn mutt! I guess I will just kill you in front of her, " D'Angelo snapped as he charged the wolf. I moved out of the way, this was my first time seeing Eli in his wolf form. He was handsome even as a wolf his fur dark as night the only white we're on his paws and a few streaks throughout his coat. His eyes still those deep green just like his human form. Eli stood in front of me he was hunched down growling at D'Angelo. Eli charged at D'Angelo only to miss as he jumped digging his claws into Eli's back and dragged them down as he went down, and Eli let out howl. Blood dripping on the floor. "D'Angelo! Leave him alone!!" I screamed now standing one eye now glowing red, my body fighting against the smell of the blood. D'Angelo smiled "Come on Quinn let loose, let that monster out,"D'Angelo teased smiling at Quinn. Eli looked at Quinn his ears folding back as he whimpered. I closed my eyes "Eli go!" I snapped as my fist clenched tight blood dripped from my palms as my claws dug into them. D'Angelo wrapped his arms around Eli's neck digging his claws in to cause more bleeding. Eli shook his head growling and snapping at D'Angelo, but it only made him dig his claws in deeper. "Your not going anywhere wolf boy, you will see the true monster your little Quinn is, "he said smirking as he looked back at Quinn. I opened my eyes, both glowing red, first unclenched as the claw wounds in my palm healed rapidly. "Maybe ill let her do the killing, she would hate her self if she came to seeing you dead on her floor covered in your blood wolf boy," D'Angelo said his grin growing. I found my self in a dark void in my mind screaming and fighting trying to take back control of my body as it walked closer to the guys, fangs now visible, claws extended, and my piercing glowing red eyes.
