Fun can be a pain~

Gage pov:

Waking up proves to be a pain, and I mean that in both meanings. One being I'm nice and comfy and all I want to do is sleep now and the other reason that's dragging me out of bed is the pain in my ass and the fire licking itself up my lower back.

With a groan I force my eyes open frowning when I don't see Jay before seeing the blurry image of the clock next to the bed and the very blurry numbers clearing up once I focus, allowing me to realize it's eight in the fucking morning meaning my lovely mate is on shift already.

"Fucker could have at least left a note.." I grumble trying to move a little before hissing in pain at the fire in my backside turning into feeling I was run over by a damn car.

'Jay I am going to kill you!' I mentally growl.

'I'm sorry Gage...I left some water and some meds to help with the pain beside the bed.' Jay's soothing voice says through the bond before it comes back that we did bond last night so I guess now he can hear my thoughts..oops.

"Stupid bond..." I mumble seeing the mentioned items and taking them quickly to make the pain go away so I can at least hobble or limp to the bathroom to clean up since..well the 'reward' from our bonding is starting to feel sticky. And I don't really feel like staying on soiled sheets as I blush feeling what got the sheets.

Once the pain is on a manageable level I finally move from the bed with some of the sheet sticking to me, wincing I do a penguin waddle and start a nice warm shower while adding some herbs to the water pooling at the bottom to help with some of my pain.

"Ohh fuck yes~" I moan when the hot water hits all more sore spots as I relax letting the water work it's magic for a few minutes before starting to wash my hair and skin with the sweet-smelling body wash and the coconut smelling hair products. Things have been a little hectic with Black working with Cyrus to finish finding all the rogue vampires who followed that dead bitch who almost killed Ren.

Jay is busy helping by figuring out how to work all new vampires into the guard, with all the wolves it's easy to have day guards while working to make the vampires the night watch so trying to adjust the schedules that have been in place for hundreds of years is proving to be a bit difficult. The older guard members are happy to step down and finally retire but a few are proving to be difficult while the younger guards and in training guards are adapting easier to the changes, Troy is having to help as well since being the beta he holds enough authority to command the lower wolves a bit better than my poor Jay whose just the head of the guards but still a normal wolf.

I can feel his irritation clear as day through the bond as I step out of the shower finally not feeling any twinges from my lower back. I chuckle as I dry off as I try to imagine which old wolf has my mate all irritated this early in the morning, bet it's one of the elder guard members who served under Jay's father or grandfather and doesn't approve of the changes happening.

"Glad you're amused while I'm down here dealing with these old bastards." I hear whispered through the bond making me laugh as I start to comb my hair smirking.

"Aww, poor you, I bet you'd rather be here in bed with me~" I purr back to him teasingly as I chuckle "I know I wouldn't not being able to walk for the whole day~" whispered seductively as I smirk feeling his emotions.

"Damn minx~" He growls back clearly debating between leaving whatever it is he's doing to come and punish me.

"Ohh I'm so scared~" I tease back before closing the bond as I chuckled throwing on a simple short-sleeved shirt, some briefs, and some nice fitting black jeans before heading out of the room only to be tackled by smiling Sage and Ren who start dragging me away.

"Ahh help!" I cry dramatically as our group gets amused looks as the Luna and the Alpha's younger brother drag me away, both laughing like lunatics.

"About time you two idiots finally bonded." Sage laughs as I stop struggling and let them lead me away "I swear Black and I were ready to toss you two into a room and lock the door until you both finally got down and dirty." he finished.

"Can I at least be told where you're kidnapping me too?" I ask earning a chuckled from Ren.

"Nope~" Ren giggles happily "But trust us, if you wear it tonight you won't be walking in the morning~" He purrs as they drag away as I start to figure out what they're gonna do.

"Aww come on it's only nine in the morning," I whine as I let them lead into a room.

"So we said to wear it tonight not right now." Sage cackles as they drag me into the room and lock the door behind me. I have time to squeak in shock before they descend on me, the last thing I hear is their cackling before I'm thrown into my nightmare...trying on clothes.

"Food" I whine as they forced me to try on clothes for hours and it was now noon meaning lunchtime, thank god.

"Oh, poor baby." Sage chuckles rolling his eyes as he smiled having found some clothes for himself to wear as he happily munched on a sandwich while Ren had scurried off to eat lunch with his husband.

"You dragged me to try on clothes for three hours and I hadn't eaten anything," I growl out making him pause and look a bit ashamed as he muttered an apology before we both go back to our food.

I chuckle softly as I take a sip of my water knowing that the outfit I picked would really make Jay go wild tonight as I smirk. I guess losing three hours of my life trying on clothes wasn't a total loss.
