One Step At a Time [jungkook ff]

Chapter 14: Open Ocean

     She was walking down the stairs in a beautiful red dress that complimented her fair skin. Her Curly hair tied in a low bun, allowing her face features to stand out.

Minju walked up to jungkook a little embarrassed
     "Why is everyone looking at me?..." she quietly asked

     "Because that's a one of a kind, 12 hundred dollar dress designed by yours truly" Jin said with a sly smile while walking up to minju

     "W-what? But song-hee gave me the dress.." minju replied

Jin smiled at minju
     "I knew you weren't gonna take it if I gave it to you so I had song-hee give it to you, obviously she was smart enough to not tell you it's worth" Jin laughed

Minju was in shock at her friends' actions, but she was grateful.
     "..thank you.." is all minju said

Jungkook could not stop staring. He knew she was beautiful, but the dress really caused her features to stand out more, from her light eyes to the way she carried herself.
Jungkook realized he had been staring for a little too long
     "You look beautiful" he said out loud not realizing exactly how loud.

     "Thank you" minju smiled, a light crimson blush appearing on her cheeks

The dinner went on but not once did Taehyung look jungkook's way. Jungkook couldn't help but feel sad and frustrated.

Minju began to notice jungkooks gaze was fixated on Taehyung.

     "You wanna get fresh air?.." minju asked Jungkook.
     "No I'm okay"

     "Too bad I was only asking out of kindness" Minju grabbed jungkook's wheelchair and went to the deck.

     "Thanks.." Jungkook stated after a few minutes.
     "You wanna tell me what's bothering you?.." minju asked quietly

     "..Do you think Taehyung hates me?...." Jungkook responded softly

Minju looked at Jungkook with a soft smile, aware that he could not see her face
     "No, I don't think he hates you. He's probably just taking his time to think things through and sort his feelings out"

     "Can you take me to my room?..." he asked after a few moments of silence

Minju took Jungkook to his room and began to organize his bed for him.

     "I'm not going to bed yet... I'm just going to chill here" he said quietly

     "Do you want me to call Sang-Chul?"

     "No it's okay.."

      "Alright.. let us know if you need anything" Jungkook nodded and minju left, leaving Jungkook alone with his thoughts.

The room became suffocating for Jungkook, he left his room. He went to the lower deck.
He sat there staring at the open ocean, miles away from land. Thinking to himself, no one would know how or what had happened if he disappeared.

Taehyung had enough of the formal dinner, he had decided he needed some fresh air.
He made it to the lower deck, closest to the ocean.
What he saw made his heart stop. He began running, hoping, wishing he'd make it to Jungkook in time.
