Jungkook and his mother were seated in the living room. Jungkook hadn't said a single word while his mother went on and on about a press conference.

Jungkook had found the family business uninteresting from a very young age, him and his childhood friend would often ditch his parents and hide out in the once beautiful garden.

[flashback]

"Hurry kookie! They'll catch us" namjoon laughed out as he ran to the garden with Jungkook right behind him.

The garden was full of laughter. The boys had ditched the business class their parents had told them to attend to come play.

     "Hyung look!" Jungkook excitedly said

Namjoon smiled as Jungkook did cartwheels.

The boys laughed and played while looking at all the beautiful flowers. The garden was their favorite place to be in. It provided the comfort their parents had failed to give them.

[end of flashback]

"Jungkook, sweetie? What's wrong?" Jungkook's mother stopped talking and got closer to Jungkook.

"Why are you here?..." his response was cold and bitter.

"C-Can't I come visit my son?"

"After lying?! Don't act like you're innocent. You lied to his family! You lied to the public!"

"IT WAS TO PROTECT YOUR IMAGE!" Jungkook's mother yelled frantically. Anything that would indicate she was worried for him disappeared.

Jungkook looked up at his mother. Disappointment was written all over his face.
He only had respect for her because of the title "mother".

"No mother... it was to protect the business's image..."  Jungkook kept calm.

His mother gave him a perplexed expression. She had been left completely opened mouthed by his response.

"You know your way out" Jungkook proceeded to make his way out of the room when his mother stopped his wheelchair.

"Everything I do is to assure a great future for you. I couldn't tell the Kim family the truth" she looked at Jungkook with tears forming in her eyes.

"you made the Jeon family liars... now please let go of my wheelchair."

Jungkook's mother took in a deep breath and let go of his wheelchair. She fixed herself and proceeded to say
"if it weren't for that wheelchair, I would've married you off to a rich family with high status already"

With that she passed Jungkook and exited his home.

Jungkook's heart stopped as tears started to blur his vision. Never in his life would he think his mother would be so shameless to say such things to his face.

Jungkook hadn't realized it but that was the first moment he had been thankful for the wheelchair.

Jungkook grabbed the closest thing to him and threw it.

Tears streamed down his face as he saw the object he had thrown. It was now a broken picture frame with a photo of him and his long gone friend...
