Chapter 1

I was exhausted, we had been conditioning for two and a half hours. Jack pulled Polo up and said "I think they have had enough. Polo and Janna did well. We should let them walk till we reach the end of this trail." "I agree. I am so proud of her I think we might be ready for the qualifiers. Polo did well too, you handle him well." Jack blushed and said "Polo did all the work, not me." "Thanks for the help. I enjoyed our trail ride together."I said."I can't believe the last show before the world cup and world cup qualifiers are only one month away."  We finished the trail ride in a comfortable, peaceful silence. After we cooled the horses down and untacked them. I started home until I heard someone calling my name. "Jessica! Jessica! Jessica wait." I stopped and wasn't surprised to see Julia Moult, Jules for short, my best friend. As usual she took forever to untack her horse, Hero, so I had to wait for her. Jules got a lift from my mom everyday after riding. Jules and I had been riding since we were two years old and in just one and a half months we would go to the world cup qualifiers. We lived right next to Buckingham stables in New Haven, Connecticut. Jack is a senior at New Haven High and is helping us train. He has competed at the world cup twice but never came in the top three. Despite that he is the best trainer in the country. I asked my mom to drop us off at the mall where we would meet our other friends for a girls night out. Once we reached our favorite coffee shop in the mall, Kate's place, we found Amelia Maré and Jasmine Khan waiting for us at our favorite booth at the back. Amy and Jassy greeted us and we started to chat about our days. Amy was a blossoming actress and Jassy was a scout, only Jules and I rode horses.

Jules and I had been friends for the longest she knew me best. She had long blonde hair that was always knotted. She adored all animals. She was my best friend, we told each other everything.

Amy and I had known each other since the beginning of high school so 3 years now. She had brown hair and a gorgeous, infectious smile.

Jassy and I also met in the beginning of high school. She had brown hair and a wicked sense of humor. She could also be rude but only if you upset her.

I had a short blonde bob and blue, green and brown eyes. I was bullied in my past so I didn't trust easily it would take awhile to gain my trust. I could be described as bossy and harsh but I just had a fixed way of doing things.

The girls and I decided to go watch Finding Dory for our girls night. Call us children but Finding Dory was cool, ok? We had all seen Finding Nemo as children and wouldn't have missed the sequel for the world. After the movie ended we all headed for Amelia's place for a sleepover since her parents were the most chilled about stuff. It was a kind of depressing night since both Amelia and I were having guy trouble and Julia did nothing to help that. Amy's guy lived in England so it didn't help when Jules said that the reason he wasn't replying to Amy's messages was that he could have a girlfriend. Plus the guy I liked (an you will find out who it is later if you haven't all ready figured it out) had read my message but hadn't replied. We went to sleep around 11:30 that night.

So I hoped you liked it. I would write more but I have a show early tomorrow morning and it's late over here so I am off to bed. 15 or more reads and I will post the next chapter.
