"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?" alejandro angrily, but gently shook jasmyn awake. he had her phone in his other hand and it was opened up to her text messages with someone named as 'stupid hoe' who alejandro finally figured out was mattia.

the brown skinned girl groggily opened her eyes to a clearly pissed off alejandro. the lights were still off and it was dark in the room except for the light coming from her phone, but even the sound of anger in his voice would literally give anybody chills.

"are you going to answer me, jasmyn?" alejandro did not even give her a second to breathe and sit up before going off on her. she didn't even have the time to process what was going on or what he was talking about. the confused and sleepy girl rubbed her eyes and sat up, seeing her phone in her boyfriend's hand.

"what's happening? why do you have my phone?" she genuinely had no idea what was happening. alejandro scoffed and tossed her phone in her lap, and when she read the texts, she was just as confused as alejandro was. jasmyn didn't think that mattia would text her, saying that, especially in the middle of the night.

"you know what sucks about all of this?" alejandro didn't even want to look in her direction. he was pissed, but not enough to up and leave at four in the morning. "i still don't want to break up with you. i would rather have you do this to me than to not be able to talk to you, because i know that once we end things, you're not going to talk to me again."

"but i didn't do anything. you see it here, mattia texted me. i didn't initiate any conversation, and you know that." jasmyn tried shifting the blame to mattia to make herself look better but she knew deep down, she had her share of faults toward alejandro.

now, some would say alejandro is being stupid for going back to her over and over again but he felt like she would finally change one time. he believed in forgiving her not because he was in love with her but because he had love for her. and he knew those were two different things.

this was only his first relationship since dating vic, and he didn't know what the meaning of a toxic relationship was or how it even felt to be in one. it was all new for him, except for his feelings for jasmyn. no matter how wrong she did him, he still had strong feelings for her. he just didn't know he was going to continue being in a toxic relationship.
