Secrets (Sonadow)

Sonic's P.O.V.

"I'll do it. I will need to keep it a secret and a lie that I will be gone for a couple of months but I'll do it." I sighed quietly knowing this wasnt a good idea.

"Sonic are you sure? This is a life changer." My sister walked closer to me with her ears dropped.

"I'm the only one who can, and I know I should since it is rare to have such an opportunity." I rubbed my face.

"Maurice..." My mother said then slowly nodded.

"We'll make sure everything is okay..." My brother and my uncle nodded as I nodded at them as well.

(A few months later)

"Sonic! Where have you been?!" Tails quickly hugged me and I chuckled then hugged back.

"Hey buddy!" I smiled and rubbed his back then pulled away. "Sorry I was gone for a long time. I was giving an old friend a hand with something."

"You had us all worried, Hun. You just called and said you had to leave for a while. Amy was going crazy without her boyfriend around." Rouge said as I rolled my eyes.

"We are not dating." I rested back on the wall.

"Sonic!" Silver hugged me and I chuckled. It hurt me since I was still healing but I tried not to show it. "Hey man, we thought you were dead! What happened? Why did you call everyone here?"

My ears flickered and I rubbed the back of my head as I looked at them. "Well im glad you asked and now that everyone is here, I can talk." I took a deep breathe as I looked at them.

Amy. Knuckles. Rouge. Shadow. Tails. Silver. Mephiles. Scourge. Fleetway. Cream and Cheese. Blaze. I sighed.

"Just spit it out! I have better things to do than being around with these fools." Shadow had his arms crossed and rolled his eyes getting annoyed. But lets be honest, he's always annoyed.

"Alright... I am retiring." I said as calmly as possible. Everyone looked at me shocked, even Shadow although it was for a split second but I saw it.

"What?!"

"I'm sorry guys but... I can't do this anymore... As much as I want to... I can't." I shook my head, this is for the best. "I am leaving soon, I packed all of my stuff already but don't worry, I will be coming back every now and then, I just won't be around as much anymore."

"It's because of Eggman isn't it? What did that idiot do this time? I'll show him!" Amy summoned her hammer and swung it around, it almost hit me but I quickly dodged it and panted heavily, I was weak and everyone noticed that.

"Sonic...? What's wrong...?" I dropped my ears at hearing Blaze ask me that.

"N-nothing... I'm fine and no it wasn't Eggman this time, Ames. This is my decision... I'm sorry." I held my stomach in pain.

"But Mr. Sonic! You can't leave! Did we do something wrong...?" Cream sobbed making me pinned my ears down at seeing her cry, a kid. I walked to her and knelt in front of her then cleaned her tears.

"You didn't do anything wrong, Cream. I will come visit every once in a while. I promise. Now please don't cry or you will make me really sad." I said softly as she slowly calmed down.

I stood up and walked to Tails. "You're in charge now, Buddy." I smiled at him and messed his fur on top of his head.

"B-but..." I cut him off.

"I trust you." I kept the smile then looked at everyone else. "I better go now. Please make sure Eggman doesn't kill anyone, I trust all of you and I know you don't need me anymore." I put on the hoodie of my jacket and nodded at everyone. "Bye everyone." I walked to my car and drove off since I was moving all of my stuff to the castle and I couldn't run so much.

I looked at a shopping bag in the passengers seat and smiled slightly at seeing the baby clothes. "This is for the best." I let a tear roll down my muzzle and kept driving.
