Hayley Marshall was happy when she discovered she was going to have twins, despite the amounts of danger they would be in considering who their father was and all the enemies he had. Klaus Mikealson on the outside he looked barely fazed by the news, but on the inside he was ecstatic at the discovery.
They along with Elijah made plans of how to raise their kids, but after Hayley was killed and turned into a hybrid after giving birth. The twins were also almost killed in a sacrifice so in order to keep them safe, Klaus gave them to a person he knew he could trust to watch over them and raise them well, to raise his daughter Hope Andrea Mikealson and his son Cayden Henryk Mikealson.
His sister, Rebekah Mikealson, and after taking the two babies that fateful night she raised them as her own never lying to them about their real parents.
The small family growing when Kol and Davina had a daughter, Ashlyn Claire Mikealson, it came as a surprise to everyone but the two young parents knew that Kol had just as many enemies as his brother so the two sad parents gave up their daughter to Rebekah.
The Mikealson legacy grew even more when another unexpected child was born, Thomas Marshall-Mikealson, the son of Hayley and Elijah and the twins half-brother. The heartbroken mother denied the idea of even losing another child until Elijah promised her that they would all be together again, and the noble Elijah never breaks a promise.
A few months later Marcel had visited the family, having an 'exciting' night with Rebekah. Leading to them having a miracle child if their own, King Gerard-Mikealson, Marcel left with a heavy heart after the birth of his son knowing how suspicious it would be if he suddenly disappeared from New Orleans.
The last person to join the family in their hiding was, Sabrina Finn Mikealson, the daughter of Keelin Malraux and Freya Mikealson. The two mothers were surprised but beyond happy at the news, it hit them even hard when they also had to give up their daughter for her safety.
The Mikealson clan would later discover that their children were a parting gift from their mother and aunt Dahlia, who believed that they deserved the opportunity to be happy especially now that they were at peace.
