Chapter 2

I'm on the school bus now, checking my face in my pocket mirror. Busted lip. Dumbass little bro. The bus halts at a stop and a few people get on. One of them is my friend, Morgen. Yeah, with an 'e' instead of an 'a'. She's cool, really seems to like the colour combinations of green and brown though. She sits down next to me.

"Yo, hey there, howdy sis," she greets me while fixing her glasses.

"Yo back at chu," I say to her.

"What the heck happened to your lip?" she asks.

"Called my brother a mega gay," I quickly reply.

"Ooh, uh ouch?"

"He's really insecure about his sexuality."

"He's fifteen."

"Just two years younger than us."

"I don't most people figure out who they are that soon though."

I just look at her. I just look blankly at Morgen. She's about to get a bit philosophical at life here. And yeah, she does that a lot. I prepare myself to physically shrug at everything she's about to say to me and zone out entirely.

We eventually get off the bus and I wave Morgen a "bye, c'ya at lunch", type of wave. Ugh, I hate school. The only two classes I like are my art class and my dance class.
