"Ant, are you awake yet?!" The familar voice rang through my house. I stood up from my seat, and walked to where the voice originated from.

"Ant, where are-Oh, hey!" Tyler's said once I stepped into his line of sight, even if it was terrible.

"Tyler, why are you here so early?" I asked. Tyler was my dear friend, and I cared about him more than you can imagine, but he never came so early.

"Just follow me," He paused, "Please." Tyler asked, adding please to the end. Like always. I thought in my head.

I have a quick nod, and he grabbed my arm and dragged me to wherever. Eventually, we got to the Village News Post, and he lead me up to a new post.

"Tyler, what is," But I stopped. On that small piece of paper, was something that made my words stop, along with my mind.

"Tyler Quinn, and Ant Vamno,
You are hereby ordered to go to the capital of the Kingdom Maida, Fleet. In order to enter the Fleet Tournament."

I was frozen. Nothing was processing, except for Tyler laughing at my reaction. I shook my head, and rubbed my temples, trying to get thoughts to process.

"I knew that would be your reaction, Ant!" Tyler laughed beside me, and I playfully shoved him, and a grin found it's way to my face. Tyler began laughing harder, and ran towards the direction of my house.

"Tyler! Wait up!" I called to him, but he kept running. I ran after him, and caught up quickly, since he was scrawny, and I was the more athletic one, so I was right behind him.

I tapped his shoulder, but before he could turn around, he tripped, and since I was so close behind him, I fell with him.

"Oh, Ant, are you okay?" Tyler asked, scrambling to where I was laying down, but all I was doing was laughing.

"Tyler, you're so clumsy." I said, once I was able to breathe again. He opened his mouth to protest, but then quickly shut it, causing me to laugh more.

"Well, Ant, why don't you go pack, because the Fleet Tournament is in two days." Tyler said, standing up, and holding out his hand for me.

"We have the Village Tournament tomorrow, I'll pack after that." I said, taking Tyler's hand, and pulling myself up.

"Fine, but are we leaving that night, or in the morning?"

"Depends, if we're tired, then the morning, but if not, then that night."

"Okay, well I have to go, see you tomorrow, Ant." Tyler said, and left. I sighed, and walked into my house, which we were walking to while talking.

"Bye...." I mumbled to myself, and began to set up my stuff for the morning.

"Tyler better not be late, not today, of all days" I muttered to myself, as I looked at the candles burning on my table, of which I was sitting at.

"Ant!" The incredibly familiar voice rang through my house, like every day, since we had started to fight in tournaments together.

"No, wait! You can't take that! Please, come back!"

What's going on over there? Why are people....?
I better help.

"Ngh, I don't have anything else, I promise, just please...."

......

"Wait a second. Who are you? Are you going to...?"

I won't hurt you. I'm not like that.

"Says the guy holding a sword, and with battle scars."

They aren't battle scars, but I am indeed holding a sword

"Well, I'm Tyler, Tyler...."

Do you not have a home? Or a family at least?

"No, I have been on the streets for as long as I can remember. I came to this village, since people in my other one weren't exactly...nice."

Well, I'm Ant, Ant Vamno, call me if you ever need help again, okay?

"Okay.. Ant.... Ant Vamno."

"So, the regular KE, and HS plan, Ant?" Tyler asked, tossing a rock in the air, as I signed up for the Village Tourney.

"I still have yet to understand what that completely means, Tyler" I replied snatching the rock from him, as it went into the air again.

Tyler sighed, then attempted to explain what KE and HS was. "KE is 'Kill Everything' and HS is 'Human Shield'. What do you not understand?"

"Why am I labeled as, 'Kill Everything'?" I asked, as we continued walking to the Tournament Area.

"Whoever said you were 'Kill Everything'?" Silence, as we both stopped walking, and looked at each other.

Laughter, from both of us, with some, 'You actually' and 'That's the joke of the day'.

Life was good for us, and today was just another Tournament. Before, Fleet.
