"Elena, when you get this, please call me back" Bonnie left a message on her friend's voicemail.
"No answer?" Elijah said.
"No. But when she sees the messages she will call us back." Tatia said.
"It's unusual for her not to answer. She is probably with him." Bonnie said.
"Him?" Tatia looked at her friend curiously.
"She - since you disappeared she has been with Damon again. They broke up, but it seems that she is still seeing him." Elijah said.
"Not Damon." Bonnie corrected the vampire, "the painter guy."
"The painter guy?" Tatia cocked her eyebrow up surprised.
"Yes. Nik." Bonnie replied, "you didn't know?"
"She didn't say anything about a guy - well, we didn't really had time to catch up. She was away and then she was at the Gallery. Now I get why she was keen to work on the whole exhibition."
"Can we go back to the topic of Damon's doppelganger, Dr Swann?" Elijah tried to sway them from the conversation about Elena's new flame.
"Yes." Bonnie said and then told them what she had found out about him.
"He must have been compelled to forget then. The only one that could compel him was Tristan." Elijah said.
"You think that Tristan has sent him to work with me at the Lab?" Bonnie asked.
"I'm sure. But to what end?" Elijah said pensively.
"You forget that Antoinette also could compel," Tatia reminded Elijah, " and she has worked with the Bureau. And he has been sent to the Lab by them."
"True." Elijah nodded, "still - Tristan's hands are everywhere these days. I will call her- just to check."
