"So, Rosé has no idea you are still talking to this girl?"
"That's right."
"Don't you feel bad, keeping things from your best friend?"
I stopped walking. Bambam turned around and looked at me, waiting for my answer.
"A little bit," I said. "but it's not like she would approve. Rosé doesn't want me to 'lead someone on'"
We started walking again, looking through shop windows. The street was crowded with people, our bodyguards making sure none of them invaded our privacy.
"Are you?"
"What?"
Bambam sighed. "Are you leading her on?" He said.
I scoffed. "No, of course not."
Bambam sighed again, deeply. His expression showed somewhat disappointment and uncertainty. I wasn't sure why he looked like that.
"What's wrong, bam?"
"Well, you say you're not leading the girl on, but you are keeping it a secret from your best friend, who specifically said she doesn't want you to lead someone on."
I sighed.
"Don't worry, Bam, I'm just trying to be friends with Jennie. I'm only keeping it a secret from Rosé because she would think I'm playing with her, but I'm not."
Bambam looked convinced enough to drop the subject. But a few minutes later he couldn't help but bring it up again.
"So, you're just trying to be friends with her?"
"Well... yeah?"
"You're hesitating!"
I groaned. How was I going to explain it?
"It's just that -- she's so pretty bam, and so so kind. I feel attracted to her but I know I can't be with her, an idol dating her fan? That's a scandal!"
Bambam nodded. "I get it. You want to be her friend so she doesn't feel like a fan anymore, and then you can make a move on her."
"exactly"
"I just hope you know what you're doing."
