A/N Well, it has been a long time. I am sorry for that. Life ended up taking priority, which sometimes sucks. Anyways, I am going to try to get back to writing as much as I can. I sure miss it. Anyways, here is the first chapter in a long time! Hope you enjoy.

I woke up on the couch alone. I heard Fetch and Eugene talking in the kitchen of the apartment we were hanging out at. I wonder if anyone actually lives here. That would be bad if someone did. I get up and look around at the apartment since I was too busy watching Eugene and his game last night to really look around. It was a rather simple apartment. White walls with chipped paint here and there, carpet covering the whole place but the kitchen and a small kitchen that is only really big enough for one person to cook in. Eugene and Fetch are talking about something in there.

"I don't know, Fetch." Eugene said. "It just doesn't feel right."

"It will be fine." Fetch said. She noticed me and said "Morning, kid. How was your sleep?"

"Alright." I say and look at Eugene. "How did the two of you sleep?"

"As good as we could." Fetch said. "We were coming up with a plan for taking over the city. We should start small, though."

"How small?" I ask.

"I am not even sure, that is what we are trying to figure out."

"Well, we could always Rowe it."

Eugene and Fetch gave me a very weird look when I said that. I could tell neither of them knew what I meant.

"Delsin just kind came in and did what he had to do. There really wasn't a plan or anything like that." I explain. "Maybe that is the approach we should use."

"Maybe we should. Although I think that only really works for Delsin." Eugene said.

"Best we try anything we got. We can't sit around here for much longer before they realize we are here." Fetch said after a moment of quiet.

We headed down the stairs of the old apartment where we stayed. There was no one there at all. The whole building was either abandoned or being prepared to tear down. I can see how no one wanted to live here. The paint was chipped everywhere on the walls and was really outdated, some of the doors had broken and rusted doorknobs, the piping in the house was leaking in most places and most of the rooms have torn up carpets. I wonder if it really is safe for us to stay here? Or anywhere for that matter.

As we walked out, I looked at the building one last time. There was a sign on the wall on the outside of the building saying the building was set up to be destroyed a week from now. I guess that means we won't be staying here anymore. It would be too dangerous considering all the people who are hired to take this building down.

We wondered for a bit till we reached another building with a clothing store. We walk in and its kind of surprising that this place is opened at a time like this. I wonder why it is, of course, because everywhere else seems to be down. It is a nice store, with mostly street clothes on the racks. Jeans, vests, tee shirts and shoes. It looks rather cool.

"Hey, bud!" Eugene says.

"What up, buddy!" The guy behind the counter says as he shakes Eugene hand.

"I wonder how many people he knows." Says Fetch. "He says he knows the guys who run this place and will offer anything they can to help us."

"When you game online, you probably can meet everyone in the world." I say. "Or, at the very least, hear about everyone in the world."

Fetch laughs. "Yeah, if you're a nerd and got more free time than Eugene." She says.

"Hey, guys! This is my buddy, David." Eugene says.

"One of your buddies who helps slay monsters with you?" Fetch asks.

"Yep." Eugene says. "He says he can help us in some ways."

"I can offer you guys food and water, clothes as well if you need them." David says. "But I can't house you guys. D.U.Ps been looking through my place a lot as of late. They've got no trust."

"Makes sense." I say under my breath. Why would they have trust when there could be Conduits anywhere in the city?

We got some food and water from David. I ended up getting changed with some clothes because I realized how messed up my other clothes are, and since I lost the entire rest of my wardrobe to a fire, I will have to make due with what is here. I put on a red shirt with a blue star on it. I also found a jean vest so I put that over top. Paired with skater jeans and high tops, I head out with Fetch and Eugene.

We snuck around the city for a little bit. I knew what we were looking for. One of the security bases called Mobile Commands. It helps not having the D.U.Ps seeing every move we make. The Mobiles as we call them, have a lot of control. It is one of the ways the D.U.Ps gather and sends information to one another. It is one of the ways they find people to arrest. Limiting that will help us out a lot since it will allow us to travel more freely between places. It will also allow us to corner the D.U.Ps so we can challenge them easier, or I hope it will be easier. I'm not fully sure about that.

After a bit of looking around, we came across a Mobile. As anyone would guess, it was guarded pretty heavily. Guards in the usual yellow and grey suit wondering around the Mobile, making sure no one got their hands on it. Makes sense. Towers surround it with D.U.P guards on top of it, getting ready to shoot at anyone who dares to come near the Mobile. We will either make war or sneak up to the mobile, but I doubt the ladder is an option. I look to Fetch, who is besides me.

"What's the plan?" I ask.

"I guess we should just jump in and do it." Fetch says. "There is no point in making a plan for this. It will all go down in flames anyways."

I look over to the guards. I wondered how much of a fight they were going to pull. There is no way they will just let us go and take what we need, but it is what we need. We need to get to Augustine and I need to find my family. I am sure Eugene and Fetch want to find Delsin. I still wonder where he went.

A few weeks before the D.U.Ps came back into commission, Delsin went missing from his home town. Not a word left behind from him, no one knew where he went, and no one has heard nor seen him since. It is strange to think he could just disappear, but I can understand Fetch and Eugene assuming Augustine has something to do with it.

I look to the D.U.Ps and think about the best way to handle this. But Fetch is right, there is no other way than just jumping in and taking what is coming. So, on the cue of Eugene, who is standing on the other side of the towers, Fetch and I jump out and attack. Eugene decided sending a giant sword down was a good enough cue. It got the point across. We went in and did what we could to get the Mobile disabled. First, we have to get it less guarded so we could disable it without being disturbed. So, that is what we do. We start getting the D.U.Ps to back off, subduing them whenever they surrender. No harm needs to be done for us to get our point across, but of course, there is some we can't avoid. Once we get the area cleared, we start destroying the Mobile. Easy work for the most part. Or it was till someone took a shot at us from behind.

"Take cover!" Fetch says.

"Who was that?" Eugene asks. "Where did it come from?"

I lean to take a look at what attacked us, only to be shot at yet again. Looks like we are going into this one blindly yet again. I take a few blind shot at whatever it is attacking us and hope for the best. Eugene and Fetch get up to attack, and I take another few shots blindly before I move from my spot. I see what is attacking and I aim for it, only to have it run at me and catch me off guard. I fall onto my back and look up to the attacker.

I become overwhelmed with shock.

I look in the face that seems so familiar, despite the fact I have never met them. The person I am looking at could never be who I am seeing. They would never do what they are doing here.

Or could it be?
