Into the Shadows

Hoseok stood outside of the hospital room of the man who single handedly destroyed his life. The one person he refused to deal with ever again, and with a twist of fate he was brought back full circle into the devil's clutches. However, this time he escaped unscathed. The monitors beeped as they worked hard to keep the man alive. But the doctors said it wouldn't be long. Hoseok knew that Jin didn't have anyone else. No family they could call... All he had was the men who worked under him at the precinct, and they didn't seem to care.

Although he wasn't a nice person to Hoseok. He did save many people's lives from dangerous people similar to himself. So in a way he turned his life around.

Hoseok walked up to the bed resting a hand on top of Jin's.

"You know for what is worth... Even after all the things you did to me... I forgive you and I wish that none of this happened to you. Seokjin rest easy." With that a single tear rolled down the man's cheek before the machines beeped endlessly.

"I will remember you as a hero. Nothing more... nothing less." Hoseok whispered turning and walking away.

4:16 PM

The days dragged on after that night. No one really talked about it. Namjoon was almost back to normal aside from the soreness from all his injuries and the cold weather wasn't helping any. They all sat snuggled up on the couch aside from Perseus who was deep into a game on his wii-u. Calliope was sitting on Namjoon's lap and Amber was tucked into his shoulder.

Jimin had been called into work on a case concerning a missing person and assault. He wouldn't give them any details on it. So they had to deal with a pouting Hoseok while he was away.

"You guys look so cuddly" he whined taking a sip of his hot chocolate. Amber smiled at him then up at Joonie who kissed her forehead. Calliope hopped down from Namjoon's lap going over to Hoseok holding out her hands. He smiled so big picking her up to hold her. She just giggled and went back to watching the Christmas movie.

It was such a peaceful day. Amber's phone rang from the kitchen. Reluctantly she got up to answer it.

"Hello?"

"Hey it's Yoongi."

She had half a mind to hang up. But, she had forgiven him. If it was Namjoon she would have done the same thing.

"Hey..."

"How's Namjoon and Calliope?"

"They are good."

"So the exorcism worked?"

"Yes."

"How's Hobi?"

" You could have called him." Amber said sneaking a peek at Hoseok from the doorway. He was tickling Calliope making her giggle hysterically. She could never get enough of that little girls laugh.

"He is happy."

"Good." She could hear his smile when he said that. Even though he was miles away you could tell he cared.

"Better than good."

He laughed and then fell silent.

"So... I know why she wanted to leave. Aside from all the chaos lately." He whispered so quietly Amber could barely hear him.

"What?"

"I'm going to be a dad!" He exclaimed happily. Amber just about dropped the phone in her own excitement over the news.

"Oh! Oh!! I'm so happy for you!!! I'm so happy!!" She danced around the kitchen.  Then stopped suddenly.

"I'm the Godmother riiiiight?" She prodded.

Apparently Y/N had taken the phone away from him.

"We were going to ask you and Namjoon."

Amber squealed making everyone in the living room turn to look at her in alarm. She waved her hands at them.

"Aw... I cannot wait!! When are you guys coming home?"

"Next week. We just needed time alone."

"Good... Be safe!! See you guys soon!" Amber hung up before they could say anything else. Running back into the living room jumping into Namjoon's lap.

Everything felt right in the world. Maybe they had finally found their peace.
