Introduction
My name is Skylar Johnson. I'm a teenager and for 3 weeks every month, I live on the Maskuline cruise ship which sails around a couple of countries in Europe during this time. I live there with my three best friends; Oliver Maskul, Manex Maskul and Karan Kalashnikov. We're dancers and we perform on the ship during the opening and closing shows. We also have a nanny, Maddie Forkshire, who sings during the shows. Wondering how we all ended up on the ship? Okay.
Karan's mother used to sing on the ship and he was born on it. He was an extremely fidgety and energetic child and when he was three, someone suggested he took dance classes so his mother booked private dance classes for him whenever and wherever the ship docked. One day, when Karan was 6, the cruise ship's manager, Mr. Clarkson, saw him dancing and insisted he performed for the shows. His late daughter was also a dancer and she and Karan performed together for a year and a half till her passing.
The company then held auditions for a new dancer and at age 7, I moved onto the ship and for 3 weeks every month Karan's mom was paid to look after me and she and Karan are like family to me.
When I was 10, the twin son and daughter of Leon Maskul who owns the ship, Manex and Oliver Maskul, joined us after they'd driven their parents, step mom, grandparents, aunts and uncles, teachers, classmates, neighbours and older brother crazy and no one could handle them anymore. Leon then sent them to the ship and now he only has to deal with them one week a month, which is actually a lie because he sometimes travels, and the lucky guy may not be around that one week.
A few months later that year, Karan's mom got a huge record deal and left the ship to pursue her career.
Maddie was then brought onto the ship to sing and look after all of us.
These last years have been the best of my life, but I'll be honest with you, when the four of us live on the ship together, things can get a little crazy...
