Chapter 1

"Great it's raining" said max as he was walking home from school.  He was holding his backpack above his head walking down the street that leads to his house.

Max was a verry bright kid and his teachers liked that about him,unlike the other students both  boys and girls who always picked on him and called him a nerd.

As he reached his house he saw this black thing like a ball on his porch. He walked up closer and realised that it was a black bull mastiff dog and that it was sleeping,and he could tell that it was cold from the way it kept shivering.

"Hey buddy" max softly said as he petted the dogs smooth fur,it felt soo soft.

The dog jolted up at the sudden touch of someone rubbing it's fur and turned around to see max standing there with a smile on his face.

"Easy there buddy,im not gonna hurt you"  max said trying to get the dog to calm down.

"Who you calling buddy"! The dog growled and then went silent as she just realised what she did.

Max eyes widened after hearing the dog speak. "D-did you just talk"?

"Umm...,woof woof??" The dog said pretending to bark.

"Nah don't pull that shit,i heard you talk". Said max all excited,he had a talking dog on his porch.

"I have no idea what your talking about " the dog said and turned her head to a side.

Max just gave her an *are you serious* face

"Umm-" he started and was cut off by the sound of thunder and the flashing of lightning and he realised that they were still in the rain.

"You wanna go inside"? He asked hoping she would agree .

"Sure why not" she said and began walking inside but stopped and bit max in the ass.

Inside the house was the dog on the floor in front of the fireplace and max on the couch with a pain in his ass from being bit by a certain dog.

"What was that for"he asked as he placed an ice on his aching butt.

She turned her head towards him and said " because you called me "buddy"  ,if you couldn't tell I'm a lady .

"Oh" was all he could say.

"And you're lucky I don't bite you again for being a pervert"

"Me,pervert??"  Max was confused and then it came to him. "Are you talking about when I petted your fur?"

"Yes"

"But you're a dog" he said and the dog shot him a glare . "Sorry"

They both stayed quiet for a while watching as the fire in the fireplace danced. Max was the first to break the silence.

"So what's your name"

"Don't have one" she said

"Well I could give you a name but  I have another question"

"Wha- she Started and was interrupted by max tackling her and hugging her and petting her fur.

"Can I keep you please please please ?" he kept asking and not letting go of her.

She just said "fine" and max let her go and put his finger on his chin as if he was thinking,and then he shot up.

"How about,,,Helen?"

"Sounds nice" she said and licked his face."thanks for taking me in by the way"

Max just smiled and hugged her and said "no problem Helen"  but then he felt a slight pain in his shoulder,not enough to hurt, but just enough for him to notice it.

"What was that for?" he asked,still not letting go of helen.

"What do you think you're doing with your right arm" she  asked and raised an eyebrow at him?

Max was confused so he looked at his right arm and traced it at the end of Helen's butt,He looked at her and smiled and moved his hand,"sorry about that"

She just sighed and looked at him
"I know it wasn't a willful act but if you do it again I'm gonna bite you in the balls" she said and laid on his chest.

Max gulped and just laid back on the floor with a sleeping helen on his chest and was about to fall to sleep too aswell,until he remembered something.

"Shit, I didn't even ask here how she's able to talk"
