"What?!" I yelled as I jumped to my feet.

"A few Saiyans were out training in the desert area, avoiding humans, and they saw his ship land. He has about 20 members of his army with him" My father's voice was deep, it got that way when he was worried about something.

"Jesus Christ...what are we going to do?" I asked my father. All I could think about was Y/n and how worried I was to lose her. Frieza would kill every human on this planet just to find one of us Saiyans.

"We gear up and fight him before he can get to any towns. We go in 2 hours" he said as he walked towards the door. He left me alone in the house and went to speak to the other Saiyans. I looked at the door and then sprinted up to my room. I threw my closet door open and pulled out the chest at the bottom of my closet. I opened it and stared down at my Saiyan armor. I gently touched the chest and horrible memories came flooding back to me. Memories of all the innocent aliens Frieza ordered me to kill. Memories of all the times I almost died. Of all of those who did die.

I sighed and pulled it out of the chest and quickly put it on. I pulled my white glove over my hand and stared at myself in the mirror. Horrible memories weren't the only things that came to me while wearing this. There was some good too. I still felt proud to be Prince of my people.

I walked downstairs and heard a knock on my door. I opened it to see Funta standing with her two children, all dressed in traditional Saiyan armor. I stepped aside and allowed them to walk inside. Our home was the safest place for all the Saiyans who weren't fighting today. We had a huge fortified basement for protection against anything and everything. The mothers and their children would stay there while the rest of us went to fight.

I heard a knock again and opened it to see Veneletta and her three children in their armor too. I motioned for them to come in and they thanked me as they did.

"Janit is picking up her son from his friends house" Funta said as I looked at her. The woman stood with their arms around their children and I could see the pure fear in their eyes. After Janit gets here I'm going to take them all to the basement and make sure it's locked from the outside. There's an escape hatch on the other side of the room and it leads to a tunnel that goes 200ft into the ground, then takes a few turns and goes on for miles before going 200ft back to the surface. They had an exit if we didn't make it.

There was a knock on the door again and I opened it but it wasn't Janit and her child. It was a surprised Y/n. She examined my armor and then looked to the women and children behind me as her brows furrowed in confusion.

"Hey.." she said as she looked back to me.

"Hey, look now isn't really a good time" I said as I walked outside and shut the door. If she's near any Saiyan when Frieza finds them... she'll be killed.

"Really? Because I specifically came over here after hearing about a costume party" She said as she looked back to my armor. I smiled a little at her but then lost it, remembering why I was wearing this in the first place.

"Look, I can't talk right now. I really need you to leave" I tried to sound as nice as possible but I was still coming off as a jerk.

"What's wrong?" She asked as she looked into my eyes. My heart fluttered and I wanted to tell her everything. Every single thing about me, my people, Frieza, the danger. Everything. But I couldn't.

"Just... Some family issues. I need you to leave" I said. She crossed her arms and raised a brow as she looked at me. She didn't believe anything I had said. She's good at getting the truth from people.

"Vegeta" She said as she stared into my eyes.

"Prince Vegeta!" Janit yelled out. Y/n's brows furrowed with even more confusion as she turned and looked at the woman who just called me Prince. I rushed the woman and her child inside and Y/n followed. I didn't have time to hide it or lie to her anymore. I had to think of the safety of my people first.
