The Message That Started It All

A Coffee Date

You wake up the next day to your alarm that is set for 8:30am only its 11:30 back home and you aren't used to the time change. You put your glasses on and notice your in bed but you don't remember going to bed. Then you see a robe that has been set out for you so you put it on and walk downstairs. When you walk into the kitchen you see Ethan sitting with Mark talking and Jack making breakfast. "Goooood morning beautiful" Mark says handing you a cup of coffee. You sit next to him and smile as the steam from the coffee fogs Your glasses but warms your face. You take a sip and finally say good morning back. *Today is going to be a good day* Jack sets down a plate of pancakes but you aren't that hungry so you eat some fruit and chat. After breakfast Ethan and Jack go to record a video together. You sit with mark. "I think I'm going to go home shower and all that and I'll come pick you up for your date around *looks at watch* 2:30ish? Hows that sound?" He asks "Sounds good to me love" You smile and get up to pour more coffee. "Ill see you at 2:30!" He smiles grabbing his things and walking to the door he says good bye and closes the door behind him. You squeal in joy and run upstairs to your room. You look in the mirror to see your makeup taken off. You grab a pair of overalls that look very cute on you and the same crop top but in a light pink color from last night, then to the shower you go. When you finally get in you see all kinds of hair and skin products once your are done you get out and blow dry your hair while in the braids. Once its dry you pull them out to see very curly and pretty pink hair. Then you put some makeup on, mascara, foundation, powder, glittery pink eye shadow on your lid and some clear lip gloss and finish with highlight. You grab your watch, airpods and phone from their chargers and go into the library to grab a book. You remember your coffee so you go and get it and then go back to the room to start reading "Milk & Honey" one of your favorites. An hour later you get a text from Mark:

M: Be there soon gorgeous :))

N: Okay!

you go back to reading your book, then a car pulls up 5 minutes later and you re apply your lip gloss and walk to the door, you hear a knock and open it to see Mark in a pair of black jeans and a grey-blue cloak t shirt and carries a hoodie in his hand. "Wow you look really pretty" He says smiling "Thanks you too" You say smiling. He holds out his hand and you take it blushing. You start to walk down the street hand in hand it feels like a fairy tail. You text Ethan to let him know where you went. "So love what would you like to do first? We could go see a movie, go get coffee, go to a beach, get some food. Anything! Today is about you" He says "Well I was kind of hoping you had something planned" You say kind of nervous. "I thought you'd never ask!" He smiles brightly. As you walk down the busy streets of LA he takes you to Starbucks to get (F/D) and then you walk down to the park where you sit on a bench "Its a really beautiful day to day" You say taking a sip of (F/D) "Not as beautiful as you though." He smiles "Aw thank you Mark" You blush "So I was hoping I could talk to you" He says nervously. You panic on the inside but keep it cool "You can talk to me about anything, what's up?" you look at him as he looks at his shoes "So well- um you see- Ithinkireallylikeyou" He says quickly closing his eyes flinching "Well no I don't thin- I know I really like you" Keeping his eyes closed he waits for a reaction his hair blows in the wind, his dimples peaking out, and his skin in the sun is glowing *OH SHIT! WHAT DO I SAY? WHAT DO I DO?? I LIKE HIM BUT ALEX-* you stutter trying to find the right words in a panic  "O-Oh well I don't know how I feel honestly, I mean I just broke up with my boy friend of a long time. And I'm not saying I don't feel the same I just honestly don't know" You say looking down nervously because its clear you like him but you don't know if its right for you right now "Oh.. yeah I get that.. sorry" He says in defeat 

"Hey hey hey remember what I said. I didn't say no I did I? I said maybe. Cheer up cutie, nothings gonna change. I just need some time and I want to know you more" *Even though you feel like you've known him for forever, like it was meant to be. But long distance? You could never, you'd be to busy* "Yeah you're right" He says looking at you with a weak smile. "Why don't we go walk around and look at the shops?" You smile getting up offering your hand for him to take. "Sure sounds fun" He smiles getting up and taking your hand. You walk down the street holding hands, talking and laughing. You walk into one store it has many plants and very aesthetic clothes. There is a mirror and you walk up to it as Mark follows. You pull out your phone and take a lot of pictures with him both silly and cute. You post one and tag him on Instagram with the caption "New friends, new places, new memories" You hit post knowing Alex will see it. You remember your plan for Alex. As you walk in and out of all the stores messing around you see one store that catches your eye. An old vintage book store. You walk into it and are amazed by all the books everywhere. He watches you admiring everything about you. He smiles as he watches you smile and walk around observing everything. Then a book catches your eye as you notice him watching you, you go to the book "Every Word You Cannot Say", "This looks so good!!!" you say "But I don't need another book I already have so many" You smile and put it back Mark looks at you and then looks like he is taking note somewhere in his brain of everything that is happening word for word, very detailed. "Hmm interesting" He smiles as if he is thinking of something.
