Licht walked down the street, he was heading to an interview. Licht was a pianist, nicknamed 'Angel of Music'. As he was walking, he felt a small tug on his leg and looked down. He saw a black and white hedgehog looking at him. "Need something?" he said as he squatted down beside the hedgehog, and softly pets the cute looking hedgehog. "Can you understand what I'm saying?" Surprisingly, the hedgehog seemed to be listening, so he continued. "Do you like the piano?" he asked. After a few minutes longer, he realized how long he had to get to the interview. So, he took the hedgehog to his interview, and then kept the hedgehog as a pet. After a while of having the hedgehog as a pet, he decided to name him.

"Hyde, your name shall be, Hyde," the black-haired, blue-eyed, eighteen-year-old said. He then put a dog tag, that had the name 'Hyde' hand-engraved in it, around the hedgehog's neck. Licht then continued to give the cute hedgehog praise.

As weeks passed Licht had to leave to do a concert, and when he came back, late in the night, he saw a male, instead of his hedgehog. the male appeared to be the same age as Licht, he had yellow blonde hair with dark brown streaks and some red-framed glasses on his face along with a devilish smirk. His face immediately went from bored to irritated, "Who are you," he said in a threatening tone, "Why it's me, you gave me a name didn't you?" the strange male pulled the name tag Licht had given to his pet hedgehog, "Hyde". Licht looked shocked, "You see I wanted us to become friends so I turned human, Licht," the male said. The male seemed to be smiling. "Are you... Hy-de?" Licht asked, then suddenly rings of yellowish-orange lit up the room, a temporary contract was made between them.

The male changed emotions, "Yah, OK! thank you very much for calling out my name!" Hyde said cheerfully. Hyde was laughing as he said, "Really I can't believe you fell for that!" His laughter growing louder, "And now I will help myself to some blood," he said before doing a flip turning into a hedgehog and drinking Licht's blood, from his lower leg, causing Licht to fall. Luckily, he landed safely from the small fall. Licht was stunned above comprehension. With the blood, a permanent contract was made. A purple and orange-yellow chain connected them, the purple part of the chain was connected to Licht's ankle and the yellow-orange part of the chain connected to Hyde's neck. "The Contract is complete!" Hyde stated. Licht was on the floor from the fall and still hadn't gotten up, Hyde continued to talk, "I am Lawless of Greed, a vampire!" Licht's eyes were wide but narrowed when Lawless said he was a vampire, " A... Vampire?" Licht repeated muttering it slightly. "Let's get along Licht-Tan<3," Lawless said holding his glasses to his face smirking. "So, what do you think, Huh? How was my cutesy hedgehog act?" Lawless said cheerfully and slightly braggingly. Licht stood up with a look of irritation and fury on his face, "Basterd," Licht said causing Lawless's eyes to widen slightly from the insult.

Lawless stepped back to give Licht some space, "Explain what is happening, No...actually there is no need for it," Licht stated, this time it was Lawless being shocked. Licht slowly stood up, "You demon, I'll kill you right where you stand, " Licht threatened. Lawless looked threatened and on guard, he looked at Licht's new-formed lead, the weapon eve's can use for battle. "Seriously...?" Lawless stepped farther back. "Without even hearing any sort of explanation, he has the talent to draw out his lead so quickly?" Lawless said thinking out loud. Lawless looked a little closer, " and it's a pair of boots...?" he said confused. Licht's lead was a pair of purple boots. "Shut up and die you shitty rat!" Licht yelled as he kicked towards Lawless's chest without warning, but luckily lawless was able to quickly dodge the kick, from the furious angel.

The furious angel gave some amusement to the 'demon'. the 'demon' decided to anger the angel farther. "Oh boy, it's tough trying to hold back my laughter!" Lawless said chuckling, as he dodged another one of Licht's kicks, aiming for his head this time. "Licht-tan do you always talk to animals?" Lawless asked teasing the black-haired boy. Licht tried to smash Lawless into the ground, but yet again Lawless dodged. Lawless continued to annoy Licht, and dodge his attacks.

That's how their first meeting happened. Now, after fighting countless times together they had built up their trust, though Licht still didn't like Lawless that much. Lawless seemed slightly fond of Licht though.

Licht sat on the couch and looked out the window, he was in silk pajamas, it was a Saturday and he didn't need to do anything, but practice. "Angel cakes, close the curtains," Lawless complained sleepily. "No, you shitty rat," Licht said rudely, it was too early so Licht wouldn't kick Lawless until he woke up some more. Lawless sat up from the couch rubbing his eyes. Lawless stood up and stretched, he gabbed his red-framed glasses and put them on. Licht made his way to the kitchen to make cereal, Licht was now twenty, he hadn't changed that much in any way. Lawless walked up to Licht, "Do you want cereal?" Lawless asked. "No, I will not accept food from a demon," Licht said slightly glaring at Lawless for even asking, though Licht had become slightly more tolerant of the yellow blond vampire. Lawless frowned, "Licht-tan, why won't you let me do anything," whined the blond. Licht had an irritated expression when he kicked the vampire. "Ow! Angel, why did you kick me?" Lawless said standing up after being kicked in the stomach. Lawless hadn't expected the kick so early in the morning. "I thought we agreed on no kicking in the morning, Licht-tan," Lawless said.
