Moments later, Jennie heard the door of Blackpink's dorm being unlocked. Jennie, who was smiling as she swiped through all the pictures Hanbin sent her, immediately tossed her phone to the bed. She rushed to greet the members who just got back from practicing.
"Chicken and beer?" Jennie smiled sheepishly with a take-out box of fried chicken in one hand, and two cans of beer in another.
The members gave her strange looks and Jennie grinned. She couldn't blame her members for being confused. She yelled at everyone when it was 3 A.M., "locked herself inside the room", didn't return to anyone's call, and now she acted as if nothing happened.
"You're back to being normal now?" Jisoo broke the silence, a hint of playfulness in her voice.
"Unnie.." Lisa pouted, opening her arms wide to hug Jennie who was mirroring her.
The remaining members, Jisoo and Chaeyoung, smiled warmly at the sight in front of them. Through every bickers and fights, Blackpink always reconciled.
Clapping her hands together, Chaeyoung spoke. "Let's eat!!"
The Blackpink members laughed throughout the night. Most of the time, they laughed because they were mocking Jennie. Chaeyoung, Jisoo, and Lisa ended up role-playing the 3 A.M. drama that was brought by yours truly - Jennie - and came up with a new nickname for her : Angry Jenjen.
After some time, Jennie decided to confess about her whereabouts this afternoon, and in return she received slaps and yells from her members. For being risky, irresponsible and reckless, Jennie welcomed all complains whole-heartedly. However, she left out the most important part of her story : Hanbin.
Before they knew it, dozens cans of beers were scattered around their living room. It was around 11 P.M. when all laughters died down and drunken slurs filled the room. Jisoo was mumbling under her sleep. Lisa, with her eyes closed, couldn't stop laughing. Probably lost in her own drunken world. Meanwhile, Jennie and Chaeyoung sprawled on the floor, hugging each other with a funny smile on their face.
"Jennie unnie, I'm so happy." Chaeyoung giggled.
"Hmm?"
"How we always make up after each fights, chugging down beers and hoarding calories from fried chickens, ending up with laughing at each other's face for being puffy in the morning. I'm always happy about it. And thankful."
Jennie smiled upon hearing Chaeyoung's words. In reply, she squeezed Chaeyoung into a tight hug and they giggled like pre-school children.
At the same time, somewhere in Busan, Hanbin was sitting at the balcony of his hotel room. He just ended a video call with Yunhyeong, scolding him for being loud earlier inside the train. Bobby and Chanwoo also tagged along on the video call. Hanbin stayed silent after the call ended, there was a pit of his stomach that he couldn't point out. Emptiness? Gloomy?
Suddenly his phone buzzed, a notification popped up.

this isn't how you say thanks jennie
As he closed the door to the balcony, Hanbin plopped himself onto the bed. He felt another buzz from his phone. This time, it was a phone call.
"Drunk?" was the first thing Hanbin said when he picked up the call.
Hanbin chuckled as he heard Jennie giggling softly. "Noooo. Sober!"
"What a long day for you."
"Uh huh." Jennie nodded her head on the other line. "I had chicken with the girls."
"With beer?" Hanbin asked even though he knew the answer. Jennie only nodded her head as if Hanbin could see her. Chuckling, Hanbin continued. "Must be fun."
"I told them about Busan."
Alerted, the small smile on Hanbin's face dropped. "You what?"
"They yelled at me and slapped my arms." Drunk Jennie ignored Hanbin's question. "It hurts." She whined.
Hearing this, the smile on Hanbin's face grew back. It's not everyday you find Jennie acting like a child. Also, judging by her giggly, drunken state, he supposed things went well. "It hurts?"
"Yeah. Very."
"Those bad people. Want me to beat them up?"
Jennie giggled at his reply. "Nooo, don't, I love them."
Hanbin couldn't help but giggle along. He was about to say something when Jennie's voice cut him off. "I didn't tell them the whole story though."
"What didn't you tell?"
"About you."
Her reply surprised him and curiosity began to take over.
Is Jennie embarrassed that she met me? Is she ashamed to be associated with me?
Gulping down his throat, Hanbin braved himself to ask. "Why?"
"I want you to be my little secret."
