The winds were getting chillier, as Isabella Burke pulled her sweater closer to her to keep herself warm. As she walked the path to her house, the days events came rushing back to her as a nightmare that would never get out of her head. She remembered all the torture she went through from her classmates.Everyday she went to school, she got notes that read "skank", "whore", "home wrecker", "she should be ran over by the school bus" , and all this was done all because she was in an incident with a teacher.

Mr. Simmons (the teacher), was Isabella's favourite teacher and she was always in his class. He was a very trustworthy and encouraging man that she would daily go to with her problems even though he wasn't the school's counselor but Isabella felt safer talking to him. Due to her frequent visitation to Mr.Simmons classroom, a few student started spreading rumours about her sleeping with him and because of this, Mr.Simmon was fired and Isabella was almost expelled.

After this she was frequently bullied and tortured. Students would write all kinds of hurtful things on her locker, and when brought to the principal nothing was done about it. To make matters worst, she lived in a very abusive household where her mother and father would constantly refuse to feed her and her siblings or abandon them and go to parties and go drinking. She tried to be strong for her siblings but the constant bullying and abuse was really lowering her selfesteem and she was suddenly thinking of the her only way out of the situations she was faced with, SUICIDE.

The wind blew harder as she borrowed her way to her almost dilapilated house. As she walked in she could hear the screams of her younger siblings and the shouts of her parents. She rushed to the scene of the chaos only to find her father was standing over her youngest sibling, who was only 4 yrs old, with a belt getting ready to give her another stroke judging by the belt marks on the childs skin. She immediately rushed over and held onto her fathers hand to preventing him from making another move. "Leave her alone," she shouted at him trying her best to keep him from bringing his hand down on her little sister. Her little sister took this oppurtunity to run to her room and lock the door, leaving Isabella alone to deal with a what now seemed like a drunken father. He shoved her onto the ground and Isabella now had to take the lashes her sister was receiving earlier. After about five minutes he got tired and went to his room, leaving a almost bloody, lifeless Isabella on the floor. It took her approximately 10 minutes before she got up from the floor and went to her room. She had been thinking about it all throught out the day and at this point, it was her only option. She was going to end her life.

She thought about her siblings, and then divised a plan to get them away from her parents if she was going through with the ending her life plan. She took the scissors sitting on her dresser and she began cutting the sheet on her bed until it was long enough to do the job. She put her plan into action, she called the authorities and reported her parents for abuse, then she contacted the police.

"Hello 911, what's your emergency?"

"I need you to send an ambulance to Old Creek, Loughville,"

"Might i ask what the situation is?"

"Someone died,"

"Okay, do you know who it is?"

"Yes ma'am,"

"Who is it sweetheart?"

"Me," and she hung up. She tied the sheet she made into a rope around the fan in her room, she stood on a stool and before kicking it away, she silently said goodbye to her siblings and 'swoosh'. She kicked the stool from under her. Within 15 minutes after her calls, the authorities arrived at her house and found her swinging from her room fan.

Like a shockwave her death spread throughout the entire community and when the children in her school heard about this the next day, there was a sudden state of shock and disbelief. Her parents were arrested and thrown in jail for physical abuse, whilst her siblings were placed in foster care and a a home was found for them where the three of them could live together.

The day of her funeral, the church was filled with children from her school and many neighbours from the community. In the service, the youngest sister she took the lashes for the day she died gave a tribute. At the end of the tribute she add, "I only wish she knew that I loved her more than she'd ever know"

THE END.
