God's Mistake - Angel, Demon or Dragon ~Nalu

Chapter Eight

Previous time :

.... Natsu stood in his spot frozen without moving a single muscle.

For him the time slowed down and everything started moving in slow motion. The sounds around him turned to quiet whispers. His whole attention was on the table which was coming slowly in his way. He stopped breathing. His body stiffened. Every muscle in his body stretched to their limits. His heart started to beat faster and the adrenaline rushing through his veins. Every cell in his body was screaming for him to move but he just couldn't. The table reflected into his deep onyx eyes.

That was the moment when something in him snapped. His heart skipped a few beats. His eyes started to glow white and small yellow, orange and red flames started to dance in them. His whole expression changed.

Lucy....

Happy....

That's right. If he didn't move and do something, they would get hurt. He couldn't allow that. After all he is part angel.

His body moved on it's own. The table was already just one meter away from him. The time started to speed up and run normally.

Then....

Present time :
Third person's POV :

While the other guild members were staying in their spots without moving Erza started to move forward even though she knew that she wasn't fast enough to reach them in time. She reached her hand forward to them as the table was inching forward and now it was less than two meters away.

"LUCY, NATSU MOV-" She couldn't finish her sentence as a loud explosion echoed through the now quiet room and bright yellow and orange flames engulfed the table. Few little pieces of the table flew around through the guild hall which made the guild members along with Erza rushed down to find cover before the pieces of the table turned to ashes and dust was all that remained after a few seconds from the high temperature of the flames.

Lucy along with Happy who magically appeared in her arms didn't feel the impact of the table and they heard the loud explosion. They with the other members looked up at the big flaming ball after it died down and turned to big cloud of dust.

Lucy's brown eyes widened from the sight in front of her and she stood stunned in her seat along with the other guild members.

The dust cleared and there stood Natsu. He had took his fighting stance. His body was stiff as a smoke was coming out of his palms. But what stunned the others wasn't that he managed to get in front of Luce on time. But the sudden change to his appearance.

His white clothes from the heaven had change their normal color to bright red as the golden ornaments on the clothing started to move around before they took the form of flames which were shining from time to time with his movements. His white wings which were spread now were on fire with bright red and orange flames. His soft pink hair was all messed up as his bangs were falling on his face. He was gritting his teeth as low animalistic growl escaped through his lips and his sharp canines shined threateningly. His eyebrows were narrowed and his eyes were glowing white. You could see how flames of rage where flashing in them. His eyes were giving chills and they were piercing everybody's' souls in the guild-hall through their bodies.

It was like the innocent boy who was sitting on the bar just few seconds ago disappeared in thin air and sunk somewhere deep in the man who was standing in front of them.

Natsu he lowered his hands as he stood up slowly, his expression not changing, his body still stiff as stone. He released a breath he was holding in without knowing, a small clouds of steam came out of his mouth.
