She sat alone on the small love seat couch against the wall in the dressing room. With her legs crossed gracefully and her elbow rested on the couch armrest, she starred down at the phone in her hands. Although she was never a fan of waiting, she had become accustom to it during her time dating an actor. It was something that simply came with the job.

Thank God for Candy Crush...

It was become a ritual for them of some sorts to spend time together in his dressing room on days when they were filming. Otherwise it usually became difficult for them to even see each other much during the day, much less get to be alone. It was always special for her to watch him go through his routine and go through last minute preparations. It was certainly different from what she imagined most normal couples did together, but is was their special thing. And because of that, she loved it.

Checking the time she noticed it had been almost twenty minutes since he left to change. It never took this long to get into his wardrobe given that the outfits that Dez wore were never all that complicated. So what was so different this time?

After another minute she heard his voice coming from the adjoining room as she heard footsteps coming towards her.

“You ready?” he called out.

Setting her phone down, she stood up. “Ready as I’ll ever be.” she mumbled as he burst threw the doorway and casually threw his hands out to the sides, giving something of a pose.

“What'day think?” a gave a small smirk.

She scanned him up and down as she rose to her feet. His brilliant purple suit almost glowed it was so bright. His striped bow tie and matching purple patent leather dress shoes pulled the entire look together. It simply was purple from head to toe. Not surprising for a Dez outfit.

As she walked over to him, he relaxed and stood straight again.

“Wow, Nancy sure has out done herself this time, hasn’t she?” she asked almost rhetorically, referencing the costume designer on set.

He shoved his hands deep into his pockets and casually took a few steps forward, meeting her in the middle of the room.

He chuckled, “I may have mentioned that someone I care about has an unusual affinity towards purple, and well...” he shrugged. “This is what she came up with.”

She smiled and leaned forward into him, reaching up and gently grabbing the edges of the lapels on his blazer.  “Well, it certainly is in character, thats for damn sure.”

“So do ya think I’m camera ready?” he looked down at himself and then back up at her.

She reached up and adjusted his bow tie, evening it out perfectly. She gave a soft smile, “You can never get that right, can you?”

The simmering fabric on his jacket felt smooth as she ran her fingers down his chest, inspecting his ensemble at a quick glance.

“Yeah well, then its a good thing I always have you here to fix it for me.”

She looked back up and met eyes with him. He starred deep into his blue eyes, those damn blue eyes that she found herself getting lost in and falling for all too frequently.

“Oh, but you know...you do have something right...” she lifted up onto her tip toes, moving in closer to him, looking right at his cheek. She reached up and placed her hands on the sides of his his face. “...here.” she leaned in and just as she was seeming like she was inspecting something, she gently pressed her lips onto his.

He closed his eyes and melted on the inside as he parted his lips and returned the kiss.

He then brought his hands out of his pockets and placed them gently on her arms. The feeling of her soft lips against his gave him a wave of pleasure that burst from inside his chest and then immediately made him turn into mush.

After a moment, she pulled back and sat back in her feet, her hands carefully falling to his chest. She opened her eyes slowly to find him starring down at her, a smile on his face. There was now a certain sort of...glow emanating from him.

Now I am ready.”

She smiled back, “Go get ‘em, tiger.”

As he turned and headed off to the set, the memory of that kiss stayed with him and he couldn’t get his mind off of it all during filming. For the rest of the day he couldn’t shake the feeling of wanting more. To touch her. To be touched by her.

And all along, he couldn’t help but think...

Damn... I am one lucky guy...
