As soon as you read the letter your heart dropped. This was left unopened for days and you had done nothing about it. But at the same time, they were your parents. They barely showed any amount of love. Kid you was spoiled by them. But as you kept growing older and doing what you wanted, they started to hate you. Certain people came to mind, probably the only people you can trust about this situation.
Bokuto and Akaashi. They knew your mom as well. Kuroo did too but he's not the best at helping with these types of situations. So you took out your phone and dialed him.
"Hey, Akaashi." You said over the phone.
"Hi (y/n)-San."
"Can you and Ko come over? And soon. It's really important. I know it's a lot to ask because you're so far away. But it's the weekend so maybe you can come over for a bit."
"What is it?"
"My mom. But please I can't talk about this on the phone and I need you all here."
"Okay, I'll see what I can do." He hangs up. You throw yourself on the couch. Conflicted with your feelings. Yea, she was your mom, but did she ever treat you like a daughter? Thoughts filled your head and without realizing it, you fell asleep.
The quiet knock on the door woke you up. You got up from the couch and opened the door. Bokuto immediately went to hug you. He squeezed tighter than ever and almost took your breath away. "Ugh, my little girl is sad. Please don't be. Your ko-Chan is here for support. So what did your parents do this time?" They both knew more than anybody else how your parents would treat you. The difference between the treatment of you, Tama, and, Nori. You grab the letter and give it to them. As they quietly read it they go wide-eyed.
"Wait so your mom is sick?" Akaashi grabs the letter once again and looks at you.
"I guess so, but the end. Where they tell me to contact them. I haven't talked to them in years."
"Do your brothers know about this?" Bokuto makes room for you next to him so you can sit between the two of them.
"I have no idea. Tama is overseas and he's texted me once in a while but since I got the letter he hasn't talked to me. I'm guessing he was the one who gave them my address." You cover your face with your hands.
"What about Nori?" Bokuto asks.
"Why do you even ask about him since he left the family he never even spoke to me once. He hates me probably more than my parents hate me. He's somewhere in Japan, I guess."
"Nori doesn't hate you (y/n)-San." Akaashi looks at you.
"Nori hasn't done anything for me. My whole family is against me. But I just want to know what I should do. I called you all over to help me not to make me hate them more."
"Okay okay. I say you call them. And we'll be here with you. Listening to what they have to say. We are your emotional support." Bokuto tells you and grabs the letter from Akaashi and points to the phone number. "Call them." With hesitation, you get your phone and slowly dial the number. You show them your phone and you still don't dare to press call.
"Just do it." Akaashi says and grabs your phone and presses call. He gives you the phone back and you begin to panic. You put it on speaker so everybody can hear. The few seconds that you could hear it ring felt like hours. But finally, a male voice was heard.
"Hello? Is this (y/n)." It was your dad. You looked at the two boys and they nodded towards you.
"Yea it's me. It's been a long time hasn't it?" You try to make small talk.
"Yea Yea. I'm guessing you did read my letter." He says over the line.
"What does she have?" You still couldn't bring yourself up to call them mom or dad.
