I Promise

"He is fine, the loud sound luckily didn't harmed his audition." The doctor said after examining Ben's audition. Thanks God. Me and Rachel were worried  as hell about the loud sound of a shot harming his audition but he is just fine. He is only one month old, so young. At least he won't remember this when he grow up.

"Thank you so much." Rachel said when the doctor handed her the baby and she kissed the top of his head.

"Thanks doctor." I said. I grabbed the bag with Ben's stuff and went to the car with Rachel.

"This is the first time in the past 48 hours that I feel relaxed." Rachel said.

"I'm just glad that we all are just fine." I said. "And our champ is just fine." I said lifting him on the air and placing tons of kisses on his belly and Rachel laughed. "I love this baby."

"Look how cute he is." I said looking to the sleeping baby between us on the bed and Rachel chuckled softly. "Look at this cheeks and this tummy. I wanna squeeze him so tight." Rachel laughed a little.

"He is the cutest." She said. "Can you believe that he was once inside me?"

"Of course I can. Look how perfect he is, he wouldn't be this perfect if you weren't the other half of the job." I said and she laughed.

"Shut up." She said joking and laughing a little. "I'm gonna grab some water, do you want?"

"Yeah." I said and she left. I carefully pick Ben up and rest him on my chest and kissed his forehead. "I love you, man. You're my best friend, well, you and your mom. She knows me better than anyone in this world. You're going to love her. She is the funniest person I've ever met. I hope you are just like her, all smart, funny and really talented. I only hope you get my height, your mom is shorty. And I promise that I won't let her embarrass you in front of your girlfriend or boyfriend, that's on you, with photo albums that shows your butt. And I also promise that you will have the best time in Christmas, you have the coolest aunts and uncles. I promise that I'll take you to watch all the games you want, specially if you're going to watch me playing. But if you're not into playing or watching, I'm sure your mom will be more than happy to take you to watch all the Broadway musicals and I'll be happy to go with you two. We are having an awesome life, Ben. I promise." I said rubbing his back softly.

"That was the cutest dialogue I've ever heard. Well, kind of a dialogue." Rachel said chuckling softly and I smiled looking to the door.

"You heard, huh?" I said half smiling and she nodded and hand me a glass of water. "Thanks."

"I love you." I said looking to my wife and she smiled big to me.

"I love you more." She said and we share a sweet kiss.
