The Queen of the Underworld

Chapter 9

I've spent the last week chastizing Rio and Kei for constantly asking me if I was dating the Devil. They wanted to know if the Devil had done anything with me, they wanted to know if I'm actually dating him. They won't leave it alone. 

"If you ask me one more time I am going to castrate you." I glared at Rio, who shrunk back immediately. "I've continually given you the same answer, no. Just because I shook his dad's hand does not mean that I'm going to be with his son. I'm not an idiot, and he would be the last person I'd make angry." I shook my head as I folded my laundry in my room. 

"Akira," Kei said quietly. "Now that you have a boyfriend, does that mean you're not going to have time for Rio and me?" He picked at the blanket that was over his lap. I threw a shirt at him, making him look up at me. 

"You two are my best friends, my family. You both come first, always. I'd rather be single my entire life than be with him if he doesn't understand that. Now, stop asking." Kei and Rio laughed, making me confused. 

"You basically just admitted you want to be in a relationship with him," Rio said, tossing the shirt back at me. I growled and went to grab him, but he ran out of my room and to the living room. "You said it, not us!" He pointed at me, making me glare at him. 

"Stop misinterpreting things, idiot," I growled, throwing a pillow at him. 

"But you said it," He whined like a child. "Just admit it, Akira! You think he's hot." He crossed his arms at me, raising a brow. I gripped the sides of my leggings in irritation. 

"Stop dragging me into your s***." I snapped at him"Just because you're too insecure to say you think that he's attractive, doesn't mean you can pin that on me." He was staring at me in shock. "Even if, hypothetically, something happened, you can take my spot and be the Kenny of the relationship," His mouth dropped, and then he burst into laughter. This is the first time I've ever heard him laugh so hard. He dropped to the floor as he held his abdomen. Kei's laughter was the same as Rio's. 

"A-Akira, tu-rn around!" Rio laughed out. When I turned, I immediately put my back to the entrance area because my face was burning bright red. I couldn't move, I was trying to think of something to say to get out of this situation.

"The Kenny of the relationship?" The Devil's father's voice echoed in confusion. It was answered by an irritated voice from both Chance and Kenny. 

"Don't ask," They said simultaneously. Rio and Kei laughed louder at their response. "Akira," Both said as a warning. 

"Why are you three home? Shouldn't you be at school?" Kenny's voice made me cringe even more. "You're playing hooky, aren't you?"
