{Kirishima PoV:}
I'm so confused... I know I shouldn't still be thinking about it, about him... but what he said... he never said he didn't like me. He kissed back... maybe I'm imagining it. He obviously doesn't like me back... I mean, why would he? Just look at me.
Kirishima was stuck in circles in his head, tears trailing down his face. He was still on his bed, still has the movie playing. Everything was the same as it was before. Except it wasn't, because he wasn't there, and he wasn't happy. It  was such a nonsense thought, Kirishima almost laughed, not that he would've found it funny. He was alone, even with friends like Deku. Because that's all they'd ever be. Friends. After all, Deku had much better people to dream about... not someone like him.
I need to clear my mind.
He walked out of his room, walking through the dark empty halls. He didn't know where he was going, until he recognized the door to the roof. He climbed the stairs, seeing stars at the top. The door was already open, but they must not have closed it after coming in... he kept climbing, stopping as he reached the top.
He saw a figure, one that made his heart ache, made him sad he could recognize it at a glance. Then he realized Deku wasn't alone up there. He froze, dashing behind a vent as the spiky haired head turned towards him.
Oh my god... what's he doing here?! Why isn't Deku running?! I need to save him! But...
Kirishima glanced out, listening.
"...I'm sorry! There's nothing new!"
"Have you at least befriended him yet?!"
Deku shrunk back.
"W-well..."
Dabi slapped him, leaving a burnt smell in the air.
Kirishima flinched instinctively.
Oh Deku... you're the traitor?! I thought I could trust you... is this how you got those marks..? I need to help you...
"And what about the other one? I told you to cut ties."
"I did! Just tonight, actually..." he trailed off.
Cut ties... is this why..? Oh Deku...is this my fault?
Kirishima felt more tears roll down his face, as he realized some of the burns scattered across Deku's skin were his fault.
It's my fault... it's my fault he's getting hurt. I'm hurting him.
Kirishima backed away, wanting to run, wanting to stop watching. But he couldn't, and he knew that.
"I'll try harder Dabi... I'm sorry..." he held his face, looking down.
"You'd better twerp... if there's still nothing next week, it'll be more than just a little burn..." to prove his point, Dabi lit a small flame on his hand.
Deku shrank back, nodding.
Dabi disappeared off the roof's edge tactfully, and Kirishima stepped out from behind the vent.
Deku froze, whipping his head around.
"Oh! Uh... h-hi Kirishima... when did you get here?" He plastered a smile on his face, still holding the burn.
"Deku... are you the traitor..?" Kirishima stepped closer, cautiously.
"I...look, I didn't have a choice!" Deku backed away a little, fear in his eyes.
"It's ok! It's ok Deku. I can...help you if you want..?" He stepped closer, holding out his hand.
"But... you could get expelled!"
"I know. I'm willing to risk it..." he took Deku's hand gently, tilting his head.
"Are you sure?" He sounded desperate.
"Of course."
"Thank you... thank you so much Kirishima..." tears rolled down his face.
Kirishima pulled him close, hugging him softly.
"What do you need to know..?"
Deku pulled away reluctantly.
"Just secret entrances, weaknesses, targets."
"Targets?"
"Important people."
"Ok, there's a secret entrance near the woods, some of the windows on the third floor aren't quirk proof and... well, Bakugo is one of the top in class... but..."
"Kacchan..? I mean, I don't have to tell Dabi about him if you don't want."
Kirishima narrowed his eyes at the nickname.
"No, tell him."
Deku blinked surprised at the venom in his voice.
"Ok... look, about earlier tonight..."
"Right. We can forget about it. It's fine!" Kirishima gave him a smile that he didn't feel.
"No we can't... I don't want to..." Deku whispered, taking one of Kirishima's hands.
"What do you mean..?"
"I mean... well I..." Deku shut his eyes.
"I mean, I l-like you..." he blushed, looking down.
"Deku...what about Dabi?"
"I don't care! I don't care about him!" Deku looked up, his eyes filling with tears.
"I don't care if it means I can be happy again!" He leaned in wrapping his arms around Kirishima's neck.
"I...I don't want to hurt you..."
He subconsciously leaned in too.
"We'll be careful!" Deku insisted.
"..." Kirishima closed the distance between them, their lips meeting again. This time, Deku definitely kissed back, and Kirishima felt on cloud nine. Then they pulled away, both blushing.
"...that was..."
"Amazing?" Deku finished, raising an eyebrow. He looked more alive than he had in... ever actually.
Kirishima  felt more alive than he had in awhile.
"Exactly... we should head in..." he glanced up at the stars, and the sliver of a moon in the sky.
"Yeah..." Deku kissed him again, disregarding that.
He pulled away after a bit, and smiled softly.
"It's time to go in..."
He pulled him inside, away from the cold, crisp night air.
"But I'm not tired..." he yawned.
"Yes you are, and we need to take care of your wounds..." Kirishima led him to  his room, and bandaged up his burns, old and new. He gave him one last kiss, and walked him to his dorm. Then he went to bed, dreaming about the future for the first time in awhile.
