{Deku PoV}
Deku opened one eye, watching Kirishima. He sat up carefully, so as not to wake him. He searched through his pockets for a vial, and once he found it, held the liquid beneath Kirishima's nose, letting the fumes drift up, putting Kirishima to sleep for at least the next 24 hours. Deku watched Kirishima's body stiffen in resistance to the chemicals, but he fell asleep nonetheless. Deku smiled to himself, and picked Kirishima up as though he was weightless. He stood there for a second, his eyes caught on Kirishima's oddly peaceful face.
Why... Why do I feel like I shouldn't be doing this? I've waited so long.
Deku shook his head, carrying Kirishima out the door. He managed to carry him back to the league's bar without being caught, although it was close. He'd heard a police cruiser coming, and hid quickly. Once he made it to the bar, wrinkling his nose at the strong scent of alcohol, he walked past Toga, who of course questioned him.
"Ooooh! Who's that? Is he your friend? Can I stab him? Please?" Toga bounced next to Deku, who gave her an exasperated glare.
"No. He's mine," he practically growled.
"Sheesh, calm down, it was just a question!" Toga giggled, slipping elsewhere. Probably to that creepy shrine that had chased Deku from the basement he was now too traumatized to go into.
Why did I get so... protective? It's probably because I've just been waiting so long. I'm not about to let that phsyco steal my kill...
Deku ignored the queasy feeling he got, blaming it on Dabi's cooking skills, or lack thereof.
He tied Kirishima to the wooden chair in his room, and left to get his supplies. He set up, and went to sleep. Or, tried to. He kept staring at Kirishima, thoughts chasing each other in his head.
What if... I don't want to kill him..? No no no, you've gotten too far to just give up on this. He hurt you. He's a fake. What if he didn't mean to? What if Dabi was lying? What if... I'm the one who gave up..?
Suddenly, Kirishima moved.
What?! The chemicals shouldn't have worn off yet! What happened?!
Deku sat up quickly, staring at Kirishima.
"I've... I've made a mistake haven't I..?" He murmured to himself, watching Kirishima wake.
No I'm not dead, just lazy
