Chapter 2; Part 1

Marie's POV

As I was gaining my conscience back, I heard people arguing. I then heard a door open and more arguing. I decided to open my eyes and saw Jc, Kian, Corey, Chelsea, Bobby ( I've met him before), Franny and a guy I haven't met before. I slowly sat up which caused the attention of the group.

Kian: I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going and Jc pushed me.
Jc: Um no I was like 10 feet behind you. How the hell am I going to push you? With my short arms?
Kian: Ok maybe it was Casper.
Franny: Oh please.
Kian: Ok, it was all me. You happy?
Franny: No. Hey M, are you ok?
Marie: A little. My head kinda hurts but other than that I'm fine.
Franny: Kian and Corey, go find some ice for her.
K&C: Yes ma'am.
Jc: I'll go with them to make sure they don't rip each other apart. Come on Bobby.

With that they all left, leaving me with Franny, Chelsea and the mystery guy. I must've looked confused because Franny started to explain who this guy is.

Franny: This is Nathan Carter. Nate this is Marie Lundy. Nathan is a family friend of mine. I was about to pick him up so we can hang out here with everyone when you called.
Marie: Nice to meet you. Sorry you had to meet me in a bad way.
Nathan: No worries. I've met people in worse situations than yours.
Marie: You have a slight British accent. So you either moved here about a year ago or you just visited for about 6 months before coming back to America.
Nathan: You're quite observant. I visited the UK for about 5 months for a vacation and next thing I knew I'm with an accent. Don't worry it will go away soon... I hope.

I laughed at that. What I didn't realize was that Franny and Chelsea left us alone. When I finally did notice Kian came in with an ice pack.

Kian: Sorry it took long. Corey was being an idiot.
Marie: No worries. Thanks for the ice.
Kian: No problem. I gotta get back to making a video but uh I'll see you guys around.

With that he left and I turned back to Nathan who was already looking at me. I smiled and was about to put the ice pack on my head but a hand stopped me. It was Nathan.

Nathan: Let me. I'm sure you just want to relax. Plus I'm a rookie nurse so this would be like.. extra training for me.

I smiled at him and let him do his nurse thing. He put the ice pack on my head and started asking me if my head still hurts and all that medical stuff. We then started to get into more personal conversations and got to know each other a little better.

After a while, I checked the time and saw that it was 4:23. I quickly realized that I had class in less than an hour. I slowly stood up and explained to Nathan why I'm leaving.

Marie: I'm so sorry for leaving like this but I have class in an hour and I have to get ready. Plus I have to call an Uber and you know how long that takes.
Nathan: I can drive you if you want. I have no plans and I don't know where Franny is at the moment.
Marie: Really? Ok, well wait here and I'll be down in 20 minutes.

I then quickly rushed to a room and saw Franny in it.

Marie: Hey Fran, do you mind if I change in here. I have class to get to.
Franny: Of course. Do you need a ride?
Marie: No thank you. Nathan offered me one.
Franny: Ooooh ok then. Just call me if you need anything. I set your bags in here so they won't be in the way.
Marie: Cool, thanks Fran.

With that Franny gave me a hug and walked out, closing the door. I looked through my bag and found a decent outfit. I got dressed in this
