Chapter 2; Part 2

~ FlashBack~

- The Night of the Party-

~ Marie's POV~

I arrived at a random house party with Colby by my side. He decided to drag me here so I can have fun or whatever. I really didn't want to be here but it's to late now. Colby and I walked to a table filled with drinks. I decided to make the most out of me being dragged here, so I mixed a few alcoholic drinks in a cup and walked away from Colby.

~ TimeSkip~

I've been wandering around feeling a little drunk. I really wanted to go home, so I went looking for Colby. Now I'm lost and I don't know where he is. I decided to ask a random person to help me.

Marie: Hi, I was wondering if you've seen Colby? Colby Brock? He brought me here and now I don't know where he is. Oh I'm Marie.
Ed:  I'm Ed and I have seen a Colby Brock around. Follow me.

I nodded and he lead me upstairs in a room. He opened a door and lead me inside. I looked around the room and saw that no one is in here. I'm getting a little suspicious, so I start to question him.

Marie: Um Ed, where's Colby? You said you knew where he was.
Ed: Mmm yeah. See I lied. I just wanted to get you alone.
Marie: Well why didn't you just say that?
Ed: Because I wouldn't be able to do this.

Just then Ed started to put his hands on me and kissed me. I tried to push him off but again I'm drunk and he's a lot stronger than me. I then felt him trying to take my clothes off but then someone busted into the room which caused both of us to turn towards the person. It was Colby and he looked mad.

Colby: Get the hell away from her!
Ed: Chill man. We were just having fun.
Colby: Doesn't look like she's having fun. So for the last time... Get away from her.

Colby and Ed both had a stand off. Just staring at each other. When Ed didn't move, Colby took it upon himself and grabbed Ed and threw him across the room. Colby then came up to me to check if I was ok. The whole time, I didn't know that I was crying. So I wiped my tears and hugged Colby tight.

Colby: I'm sorry I left you alone. I'm sorry I brought you here.
Marie: It's ok. I wandered off on my own. I also wanted to come here so it's not your fault. Thank you for saving me.
Colby: Come on, let's get out of here.

We then started to leave but I felt a tug on my arm and pulled back hard. I turned and saw it was Ed, looking furious.

Ed: She's staying with me.
Colby: Let her go. She's leaving with me.

Just then Ed punched Colby in the face but Colby quickly recovered and punch him back. They then started to punch each other while I tried to get them to stop.

Marie: Colby stop. Please let's just go. Colby get off. Come on. Please stop you guys. Just stop.

The fight was getting worse as Colby got on top of him and started beating him up. I then knew if Colby were to continue Ed would die. So I quickly wrapped my arms around Colby and tried to pull him off while yelling at him.

Marie: Colby, your killing him! Colby stop! Let's go! Colby!

Colby finally stopped and got up and dragged me out of the room. We then rushed downstairs and saw that no one was paying attention to us. Which was a good thing. Then Colby grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the house with him. We both jumped in the car and drove away from the house.

After awhile I convinced Colby to turn back because even though Ed is a dick I'm still a nice person and I want to see if he's ok. When we arrived police cars and an ambulance were at the house. I got out of the car and ran to the closest person I see.

Marie: Excuse me, what's going on?
???: A guy died in a room upstairs. Apparently he got beat up and he choked on his own blood and died. Some couple found him and called the cops.
Marie: Oh uh thank you.

I quickly walked back to the car and got in. I started crying, knowing I was the cause of this. I then felt Colby pull me into a hug, trying to calm me down. I let go and faced him.

Marie: We... we can't bring this up ever. We never speak of this. Ok?
Colby: Marie—
Marie: No Colby, we can go to jail for murder or worse prison. Colby please promise me we won't mention this to anyone. Please.
Colby: Ok, I won't mention this to anyone. Now, let's go home.

I nodded and with that Colby drove off. I hope no one thought it was us who caused Ed's death.
