"Hi I'm Nicole, may I take your order?"
He gives me a big smile, damn. "What's your specialty?" He winks.
Oh my god he makes my heart stop.
"Me" but then I realized what I said, "Shit Im sorry... Uhh The Caramel Bru-" but he cut me off with his laugh, "It's okay" he winks, "Im Samuel" I give him an uneasy smile, how can I be so careless... I can't believe I said that. We stare at each other, not saying a thing.... His eyes are really blue and beautiful. I was caught in trance, he was beautiful.
"Hurry up!" A lady screams from the back of the line. "Oops, Im sorry, get me anything you usually like to drink." Then he walks away.
As Im writing his name, I see him come running back and he whispers "By the way, I'd like to get your number sometime?" I smile at him and he gives me a smirk, then takes a seat. I can't help but blush and fix up his drink. I let my co-worker take my shift because I can't let him see me like this.
As I finish his drink, I remember him "asking for my number", so I write it on his cup.
"Samuel" I shout, he stands up and takes it from me. "Thank you" he winks and walks away.
OH MY GOD I think to myself.... and I swear in that moment, I forgot about Josh.
The whole day, I couldn't concentrate... I was thinking about Samuel and whether he'd text me.... I was so excited to check my phone (we're not allowed to use our phones in work, which sucks) I look at my watch and just about..... 48 minutes left till my shift ends.-
Those 48 minutes took forever...... but thank God it finally ended. I remove the apron and run to my locker, grab my stuff and hop in my car.
I check my phone and............ my heart stopped. "Nicole? Hi this is Samuel :) xx"
I can't help but start shrieking and bouncing.. If anyone were to look at my car, they'd think I'm getting a seizure.
I drive home, nothing could ruin my happiness. Every song that played was so happy. It was like destiny, I was meant to be happy.
I couldn't stop smiling.
I couldn't stop thinking of him.
But then again, it's just a text. I shouldn't get my hopes up, I might end up broken hearted.
I walk in and realize, "I haven't texted back!" I utter, yet so loudly, sliding my phone to unlock.
"Who haven't you texted back?" My mom curiously asks, walking down the stairs.
I look up from my phone and see her, I laugh and tell her everything.
