"Wait is that DaBaby or lil baby?" Her mother asked as Y/N turned the camera back to herself as I was cracking up. "Which baby is that?" Her mother questioned as Y/N sighed. "It's DaBaby" Y/N stated. "That's the cute chocolate one right?" Her mother asked as I chuckled.
"Yes momma" Y/N said "oh he's cute, I thought you were talking about the other one he look like he on some type of drug or something" her mother said as I was laughing. "Momma you have no filter at all" Y/N said laughing some. "So where you at with your new friend?" Her momma asked with a smirk as I chuckled. "Jonathan, that's a cute name" her mother said "thank you" I thanked. "His voice is nice too" her mother said as I laughed and Y/N placed her head in her hands.
"Momma what you want?" Y/N asked in a giggle. "You going to the family reunion your grandmother is holding in a couple of weeks to remember your father?" She asked. "I don't know you know how I get around that time" Y/N said as I parked the car in the driveway looking over at Y/N.
"I know stink but your family wants to see you especially your grandmother" her mother said "who has a family reunion in the Bronx?" Y/N asked "it's at a park in Long Island smart ass you need to go, you haven't seen anyone since you left to go to school" her mother said as Y/N sighed. "Who's grilling?" Y/N asked "your fathers brother" her mother said as Y/N shook her head "hell No, you bringing two different type of families together?!" Y/N asked.
"Just so we can remember your father it's been almost eight years since he's passed we need to do this and you need to see your grandmother she misses you" her mother said as Y/N nodded. "Alright I'll figure something out" she said "you can bring your boyfriend too you not slick" her momma said as I chuckled and Y/N just smiled in the camera with her dimples showing.
"We'll be there" I said poking my head in the camera as Y/N smiled at me. "Bring Megan too" her mother added as Y/N nodded "Alright momma I'll see you when I get back to Houston" Y/N said as they said their goodbyes and I looked at her. "Your momma funny as hell" I said as Y/N giggled and we got out the car.
I picked up a sleeping Khia placing her in her crib upstairs and went downstairs seeing Y/N get a bottle of water. "Why you not trying to go back up north to see yo family?" I asked taking off my shirt

"And every time I get around family they always bring him up making me feel worse, and I believe I didn't cope and grieve the way I was supposed too it was like damn he died and everything kept going from there I didn't have time to realize I lost my father" she explained as tears started leaving her eyes and she wiped it away.
"I'm sorry" she apologized as I wiped her tears "you alright mama keep going" I said wiping her cheeks with my thumbs. "He was my Best friend and he was my protection and once I lost him it felt like I had to fight for myself Niggas would come up to me sideways and I couldn't tell my father I had to just deal with it on my own" she said wiping away her tears.
"I understand but I think you need to go especially if your grandmother wants to see you, you don't know how long she has until she's gone too" I said wiping her tears away. "So we're going to go and get shit started it's going to be straight" I said holding her as she nodded.
