Journal entry four:
We must have fallen asleep because I was awoken by a a soft whispering.
I sat up, rubbed my eyes, and brushed my sandy red fringe from my face.
I looked down to where the Doctor was laying. He looked so sweet and peaceful sleeping, and he had a slight smile on his lips.
I leant down and kissed him gently, then looked about for the source of the whispering sound.
I couldn't see anything, just a slight breeze rippling the edge of my dress.
Wait.
A breeze? I knew we were breathing on this star but surely there should be wind?
I turned to were the Doctor lay asleep, to wake him but he wasn't there."Doctor?"
I called, a little nervous of being left alone. I gathered my dress about me, tucking my legs up beside me.
"Blue eyes! Come and look at what I found!
I sighed with relief. This star was definitely gorgeous, but it also held an air of discomfort.
"I thought you were sleeping! Don't go running off like that!"
"I was asleep. Until you kissed me!"
I blushed as I followed the sound of his voice around some large rocks. His voice floated over to once more.
"Then I heard this whispering, so I had to go find out what it was. I take it you heard it too."
"Yeah what is it?"
I said, finally finding where he was.
"I had the feeling we weren't alone before, but I didn't want to say anything to scare you. And I was right."
"Oh my!"
I saw what he was talking about. The small creatures that floated about his torso and head were almost more glittery and intricate than the star itself.
Their fine features resembled rather fancy and floating gold fish."What are they?"
I breathed, reaching out to touch one of their fine and almost feathery tails.
"Dunno! But I'm going to call them Gold Fish Whisps!"
"Oh so original!"
I said rolling my eyes. They swam through the air around us, uttering a strange whisper that wasn't just sounds, but wasn't words either.
"Is there a way we can translate what their saying?"
"Possibly. Ok! Dear Gold Fish, we come in peace, my friend is a vegetarian and I don't like fish! I mean I do like fish as people, no as fish. But not to eat!"
"Um Doctor? I think you're just confusing them."
"Wait a second Pond, I mean blue eyes, I haven't finished introducing us yet!"
"Now as I was saying before my parter rudely interrupted..."
I raised my eyes at the term 'partner' and not just companion. I didn't object to being mistaken for Amy, I've heard a lot about her, and she seems pretty cool. Plus we both have ranga hair and feisty personalities.
Journal entry five:
He soniced the Whisps (as I called them) to try and find out what species they were. If they could survive here, that what else could?
If there is prey, then there must be a predator.
I looked about just to make sure nothing was creeping up on us.
I pushed the thought from my mind and twirled about the little Whisps as the floated about effortlessly.
I sat over on a near my rock and sketched them into my journal. I had so far collected drawings of the sun, weeping angels, this star, the mental asylum and various other pictures of the TARDIS and the Doctor I had drawn. I hummed a tune as I sketched them.
