Camelia's pov

Ring Ring Ring,
My alarm goes off around 5:30 as I slam  into the off switch. I should seriously consider changing the ringtone of my alarm. Ugh, Monday mornings. Especially since today is the first day of school. I still wanna sleep more. So I do. I wake up to find myself wet and realise that mom poured a bucket of water on me. I thought it was a joke when she said she would do it if I did not go to bed when she told me to and not get up early. And surprisingly I'm not at all angry.

I force myself out of bed and make my way into the bathroom. I start my day by brushing my teeth and my thoughts wander of to school...
My best friends, Sienel Linwood or Sia for short and Lillian Miller, Lilly for short. I wonder if there r any transfer students this year. Our gang like to boss and be friends with everyone. We r popular but not in that way... Like bimbos who hangout with jocks and stuff. But like the nice, cool, kind, bossy kids... If that made any sense.

I rinse my mouth and go to bath.
I decide to wear something casual and comfy outfit. I wear a baby pink hoodie over a grey top and light blue skinny jeans. I grab my bag, dump some stuff, swing it over one shoulder and stuff my phone in my pocket and go down to eat my breakfast. I  bounce downstairs to the dinning table.

I see mother making toast with choco syrup. I hug my mom, gobble up the bread realising I'm late. My mom said "U know u need to wake up early if you want to enjoy ur breakfast and digest it properly." I just reply with a "mkay" with the bread in my mouth. I kiss her and grab the car keys and run to the garage as my mom goes to wake my younger brother up for school. I use my dad's car since I'm 16 and my dad promised me my own car soon.

I love both my parents. They are really kind and sweet but a little bit strict when it comes to my studies but I'm fine with that since I wanna score well too.But they are the sweetest people I have ever known. We like spending time together and I love going shopping with my mom and the times my dad explains advance stuff to me. And when I help Jason sneak food. Jason's my younger brother btw.
He is in 6th grade currently.

I hop in the car and drive to school. I find a spot and park it. I text my friends to check where they are. Apparently they are on the way and we decided to meet near the school gate.

Our school is 'The Taggart High' named after the owner/founder Mr. Taggart. His daughter, Alexis Taggart, is certainly not how I expected her to be. Well I thought all rich kids would be snobby, arrogant, dump kids but she is actually nice. She and I usually compete for the first rank but we are really good friends.

I see my friends coming towards me and I run to hug them. Lilly tells me she moved in Sienel's neighborhood over the summer and they carpooled here. I live close by so I'm not actually jealous. Sienel tells me about her vacation to Rome, Greece, London in short. Thank the gods. Just when I'm about to tell my vacation to India, Lilly cuts me.

She points at a kid and says " I don't think I have seen him in school last year. He must be new." And for some god damn reason Sienel dares me to propose to him. Since it was a dare I agree. As he walkes toward the school building, I approach him. I say "hi" but he doesn't think I was talking to him and walkes past me.

" Hello handsome! " I say as I pull his sleeve..
He turns to me, not looking at me though but past me.

"I love you!" I say. I have never actually meant crap like this when I say it except for my family, just for dares and stuff.

He looks at me, his eyes looked like he was studying mine. They were green with a hint of yellow. A little similar to mine. And his expression softened. I don't remember giggling but when I look at him closely it subsides, for some dam reason.

"I know, love me too." He says, " and I don't want to be late on my first day , so if u don't mind..." He walked into the hallway nodding his head.

And that was that.

I told Sia and Lilly what happened as we walked towards the principals office. Lilly said "He looked handsome but not my type. Thought you and him might make a good couple, Camelia." I frown at her saying " Both of u know that I like Jim." And yes, it is true.

We walk into the reseption and collect our time tables just as Mr.Taggart walks out of his cabin. We treat him with a "good morning, sir" and he treats us back.

I ask him,"Sir, could you please put both Alexis and me in the same class?" I'm not afraid of the principal like the others are.

"Both of u have a few class together." He says with a smile.

I'm thrilled. Though I am sad that I only have English with Sia and Lilly.
Just as we are about to walk out Mr.Taggart says"Camelia, there are 3 transfers this year I would like u to show 1 of them around."

"Sure, Mr.Taggart" I say returning his smile.

We separate our ways batter we walk out of the reseption.

My time table goes like this:

Math
Break
History
Biology
Hobby
Geography
Chemistry
Lunch
English
Gym
Civics
Physics

So I head towards the math class.

As I enter the room, I hear a voice
say: " Yo Camelion"
I turn to see David leaning against the door, smirking.
I say " Sup dodo."
He is one of my best friends too. We used to prank people, bunk classes, and stuff. Its really good to see him again. We hug each other and take our usual seats at the back, right corner.

I remember the kid from morning. I feel heat rushing to my cheek. David asks if everything is fine, and I tell him the incident from morning. He starts cracking up as the teacher, Mrs.Jose, enters the class.
