AN: Same as cannon until sorting. All other characters will stay the same except for Hermione. I have plans for him joining the group later on. This chapter will pick up with Hermione getting sorted.
"Hermione Granger." McGonagall called
"Hopefully we won't be going into the same house as her I'm telling ya." Ron whispered behind me
Apparently Ron decided he was my best mate so it was his job to guide me right.
"Better be ... Ravenclaw." The hat called
"Harry Potter." McGonagall called
I could hear the whispers surrounding me. I could tell Dumbledore was attempting to influence me going into Gryffindor. McGonagall just assumed I would, but Snape looked concerned.  I remembered that Snape was Lilly's best friend growing up.
He must be worried about how I look. I thought
"Harry Potter." McGonagall called
I stepped up to the stool and waited for the hat to be put on my head. On instinct I blocked the hat from entering my mind.
"Excuse me, Miss. I need you to lower your shields so I can sort you." The hat said out loud
The whispers started back up. I thinned my shields so he could look but not see enough to broadcast my secrets.
"Definitely Ravenclaw. Good luck, Hadrianna. I do have a gift for you though considering your heritage. Each of the Founders trusted me with their favorite weapon upon their death. Their heirs got mere replicas. Each founder had relations with magical creatures that had input into the goblin made weaponry. The High elves, now extinct/disappeared, loved Rowena Ravenclaw's mind and quick wit. While Godric Gryffindor was a rival to Salazar Slytherin, Rowena was the only one to keep up with Salazar mentally. Rowena had a bow and dagger that she placed with me. The High elves helped with the design also making runes so that when the weapons are in use an armour will appear. I give this gift to you. Protect Hogwarts well, young Saviour." The hat whispered in my head
"Better be... RAVENCLAW."
When I stood the bow and arrow and the dagger slid from the hat onto my shoulders. Everyone was silent and staring at me. When it was Ron's turn I could tell he was arguing with the hat and I even grinned when the hat put him in Gryffindor. Hermione looked at me and we giggled before waving at Ron. Dumbledore stood and  said his four odd words. I casually turned to one of the older kids.
"Is the Headmaster senile?" I asked innocently
The other Ravenclaw laughed.
"Some say he is. We say that he is a good actor. You can't be so powerful and be completely senile." The older Ravenclaw said
I waved my hand over the weapons and they shrunk to look like charms on my bracelet. After the feast we were guided to Ravenclaw tower. We got to the raven portrait with a riddle.
"I call the trees my home, yet I never go inside, and if I ever fall off the tree I will be surely be dead." The portrait said
Everyone was having trouble before I said "the leaves". The portrait smiled before complimenting my mind and letting us in. We were introduced to our head of house. Flitwick was a nice guy, very academics oriented, but charmed the tower so we could have our own rooms plus a Ravenclaw library contributed to by the alumni of Ravenclaw.

When I walked into my room I waved my hand and my things were packed away. I was reading how to enlarge a space and how to conjure up things such as extra book shelves and chairs until I realized that the Room of Requirement had things that have been laying abandoned for years. I was determined to find the Room tomorrow. Currently I decided to get some sleep for tomorrow we got our schedules and class begins.
