Merry Christmas

Dana POV

Today is one of my favorite days of the year CHRISTMASSS and tonight is my annual Christmas party. I been up all morning cooking with my mom and Melissa. Since my mom came to town we been working on our relationship and it has gotten so much better now that she moved out. Melissa and Key also moved out about two months ago. Melissa and Mike moved into an apartment downtown LA. Key moved in with her boyfriend Gab.

"Melissa can you hand me the seasoning salt" my mom asked

"Here you go Miss Denise"

"Where is Ricky" my mom asked

"Upstairs probably sleep still" I said rolling my eyes

I love Ricky but lately he's been pissing me off. He's always angry or overly happy. My mom still believes he's on drugs. I checked this house, his belongings throughly and haven't found anything. I just don't know what's going on with him, and when I try to talk to him about it he just get angry and we argue.

"Speaking of the devil" Melissa said stirring one of her special drinks.

"Hopefully speaking good things" he said grabbing my waist and kissing my cheek

"How you feeling today" my mom said putting on a fake smile

I know for a fact she putting on her fake smile because it looks so real to others, but i know the look. As soon as he leave she's going to be talking her shit. My mom likes Ricky but she is so convinced that he's using that she don't like him for me as of right now.

"I feel good knowing that the Lord woke me up on This Christmas day, Merry Christmas y'all" he said smiling still holding onto my waist.

"You ready for the party tonight" Melissa asked

"Only if you making the drinks"

"You already know i'm on drinks" she said pointing to one of the many pitchers

"You dont need to be drinking" I mumbled and rolled my eyes

Ricky let go of me once I said that. You can start to feel the tension growing.

"I'm going to go get in the shower" he walking away and going back upstairs

It was an awkward silence until Melissa opened her mouth

"Friend I have to ask this, are you happy"

"Yeah i'm just going through relationship stuff"

"I keep telling y'all that man is using"

"MOM"

"I was an addicted for 14 years, I know one when I see one"

"I mean he has been acting a little erratic and different lately" Melissa said

"Listen I don't want to talk about this anymore, Melissa you should go home and get ready for the party it's almost 1"

"Fine I know when you want me to back off"

Tamika POV

I'm so excited it is my baby first Christmas. I went into her room and she was sleep.

"Time to wake up SiSi" I said rubbing her stomach which made her wine

She hates being woken up she gets that from her father. Sierra makes me so happy to be a mom everyday. She is such a busy body and now that she is walking she's in everything. I picked her up and went downstairs.

"SiSi you ready to open up presents" my sister said holding my nephew Xavier

"All these presents y'all are spoiling these 1 and almost 1 year olds" my cousin Stacey said
