Pokémon: A Change

Chapter One: Encounter

Ash and his friends were on their way to the next gym. They were walking through the forest.
"How much longer? We've been walking for hours!" Clement complained. He was walking slowly, step by step.
" If we keep walking, we'll get to Snowbelle city tomorrow in the morning." Serena stated as she checked the map.
"We have to get there as soon as possible! I can't wait to beat the gym leader there!" Ash said with determination.
"Pika!"Pikachu cheered. Bonnie sighed tiredly.
"I agree with My big brother, I'm getting tired." Bonnie slouched.
"Then we can stop here and continue tomorrow. It is getting dark anyways." Serena said as she stopped walking. Everyone stopped walking too. Clement sat down on the grass and sighed in relief. Their in the middle of the field, they set up camp.

After they set up camp, Clement began to make dinner.
"Hey Ash! Can you get some wood for the fire?" Ash nodded and walked into the forest. Bonnie saw Ash walk into the forest.
"Clement can I go too?" Clement shook his head.
"No Bonnie, besides, I need your help with other things." Bonnie sighed and both longs walked back to camp.

Meanwhile, Ash was walking through the forest, looking for wood. He found some on the floor next to some trees.
"Haha!" Ash filled his hands with wood and sticks. After he was done, he looked around. "Umm... where's camp?" Ash realized that he was lost. Ash mentally panicked and looked around rapidly for anything familiar. There was nothing but shrubs and trees. Then Ash heard a noise in the bushes. He shifted his body towards the noise and out came a Pokémon. It was a lucario.

Ash was surprised. 'A lucario? Those are rare here!' The lucario looked at him and ran towards him. Ash gasped and he ran the opposite direction. The lucario was in hot pursuit and Ash was starting to get tired. Then Ash slowed down enough for the lucario to reach him. The lucario bit him in the arm and disappeared. Ash winced and held his arm in pain. He saw his wound glow for a second, but he just thought he was hallucinating. With one eye shut, he walked towards an opening. And saw his camp. With a sigh in relief, he walked towards it slowly.
"Guys!" Ash shouted. Clement stopped cooking and looked at Ash.
"You got the wood A- what happened?!" Clement asked as his eyes landed on the bite on Ash's arm. Clement's outburst caught the attention of Serena and Bonnie. They gasped when they saw Ash in pain. They immediately came to his aid. Ash was starting to get dizzy and could barely stand. Pikachu regretted not going with Ash to the woods when Ash fell to the floor, unconscious.
"Oh no! What's wrong?!" Bonnie yelled in concern when she saw Ash on the floor. Serena put her head on his chest (blushing a little). She sighed in relief after she heard his heartbeat.
"He's alive." Clement and Bonnie sighed in relief as well.
"I think he just needs some rest. Tomorrow he'll be perfectly fine." Clement confirmed.
"Right!" They carried Ash to his tent and ate dinner outside. While Ash's friends ate dinner, Ash kept turning in his sleep in discomfort. Who knew what tomorrow would bring...
