Chapter 5

Yasmine's POV

I got home that night and it was only about 6;30ish but it was getting dark. I opened the door and noticed Brandon sitting on the sofa with his mate. Neither of them turned around, they just said 'hey' due to the fact they were too busy playing xbox.

I said hey, but I couldn't see who it was from the back so I just went to the kitchen to get some food.

As I opened the cupboard I noticed my sweets were gone in which I had only brought last night.

"BRANDON, FUCK SAKE. WHY HAVE YOU NICKED ALL OF MY SWEETS? STUPID DICKHEAD."

I didn't hear him say anything back, but I heard footsteps coming towards me. I knew it was Brandon so I carried on looking through the cupboards.

A few minutes later I turned around and Jai was standing there.

Shit.

My face turned bright red and I didn't know what to say.

"You're brother is Brandon?" He said, as he knew I had a brother from the conversation we had earlier.

"Ugh, yeah. Do you see what I mean? He's a pain in the ass!"

He came over to me and opened the cupboard beside me. In there was my sweets I brought yesterday.

"Brandon told me he put them in this cupboard because the other one was too full."

He picked them up, and placed them in my hands. I had never felt so embarrassed. I looked back at Jai and he was smiling at me, I then felt butterflies in my stomach.

"Why don't you come sit with us? I think we're ordering some food."

A few hours past, and Jai was still at ours. We had some food, and Brandon said he was starting to feel tired so he went to bed.

"Right I'm off to bed but Jai, you're welcome to stay with Yas for a bit if you want."

Brandon what the fuck. I have the biggest crush on this guy and you're making things more awkward for me?

Strangely, Jai stayed for another hour or so. It was gone past 10 and we spoke for hours. His phone lit up and I noticed it was a text from his mum.
Jai replied and said he had to go.

I walked him to the door and we said our goodbyes. He stood on my doorstep and stared at me.

"Why are you star-"

Before I could finish my sentence, Jai's lips had managed to meet mine. Of course I didn't hesitate and kissed him back. I could feel myself getting more and more into it as it went on. I had never liked someone so much.

After a while, I pulled away and jai looked at me once more.
"Goodnight Yasmine."
He gave one last peck to my cheek before walking away, turning his head back to me and giving me a very sweet smile.

I tried my best not to make it obvious that I liked him but I could it feel it slipping.
