"And it just never stops Ruby, why won't it stop?" Rose cried as Ruby swaddled her

"I'm sorry you had to go through all of that alone..I should've seen it sooner." He apologized as Rose sniffled, wiping her tears.
"If you don't want me telling anyone about you and Latrelle, I won't."

"Thank you Ruby it felt like it was eating me alive." She admitted, collecting herself "Now all I have to do is tell Monse, Cesar and Jamal."

For the rest of the week Rose started to pick up little things her friends would do right in front of her and looked at it as an insult. How could Monse and Cesar be sneaking around right in front of her eyes and she not seen it sooner?

The announcements came on as Rose watched Ruby hopelessly gaze towards Olivia, changing his stare elsewhere when Olivia had looked up.

"Maybe if you say something...she'll speak to you." Rose whispered sarcastically in Ruby's ear

"So are you going to the dance?" Ruby spoke catching her attention

"Yeah." She replied with a big smile

"Do yo-" they both cut eachother off, laughing together at the mistake.

"You can go first." Ruby furthered

"Do you need any underwear?" Olivia asked making Ruby's face turn white and Rose to erupt into a laughing fit

Young love, how can you not love it. Rose thought to herself as she watched Olivia and Ruby have a now embarrassing conversation on Ruby's part.

"What?" He asked looking slightly horrified

"Your mom's at Cosco."

Before Rose could finish tuning into what now was a wreck of a conversation between Ruby and Olivia, her phone vibrated.

With that Rose excused herself and exited the classroom, it wasn't unnatural for students to leave before class officially started so no one questioned her absence.

As she walked down the hallway she saw her curly headed boyfriend leaning against a wall, dismissing his friends as he watched her walk down the hall.

"You texted?" She asked making sure to keep her distance as she looked around for any of her friends.

"I wanted to see you." He said as the halls began to clear, he grabbed both her hands and intertwined them. "You coming over tonight? I kinda was wondering if you knew how to do individual braids?"

"Please don't insult me, you're not the only one with pretty hair here." Rose said as she playfully bumped the ends of her tight curls, making Latrelle smirk "I can't though I'm going to the dance, remember?"

"Yeah yeah I was just hopin' you forgot about it." Latrelle now rolled his eyes

"Yeah well maybe if you went it would make you feel better."

"Nah I rather shoot dice with the boys." He said Latrelle glanced around, his eyes falling on Cesar leaving the janitors closet

"Come here." He now pulled her closer to him sharing a kiss in a what she thought was a clear hallway.

As the two pulled away Latrelle's eyes seemed to shoot daggers from behind Rose, making her turn around and see Cesar coming out a closet.
