Rose p.o.v
The whole car ride was silent, I cant help but think about why he was so hesitant with me meeting his mother. She cant be that bad, I think to myself. We pull up to his house which was really beautiful "nice house" I said. "wait until you get inside" he said. I frowned in confusion. Elijah pushes the door open, why is it unlocked . We walk into the house, and Elijah and I both cover our noses because it absolutely reeks of alcohol. I turn around to see that Elijah had walked away from me. So I begin to take in the house. I frown, while looking at alcohol bottles scattered everywhere. My attention is taken away from it when I hear "Mom!" Elijah calls out while searching the house. "mom....." Elijah sobs from the other side of the house. I begin to walk to where I hear him. As I turn the corner into a hallway, I see Elijah hovering over his mom. "Get up" he says in a nonchalant manner. I walk closer "Get up!" he says raising his voice. I get closer and see his mom laying on the floor with a beer bottle in her hand. I feel my eyes water. oh. my. god. I think to myself. "Mom, I brought some who is important to me to see you" Elijah says in a low tone. His mom begins to get up. As she stands up I realize how beautiful she is. She looks very young, with dark brown hair and big brown eyes, and freckles. She almost stumbles on me, but regains her self. Setting the beer bottle on the floor next to us, "hello I'm Summer, Elijah's mother", She stutters, while slicking a hanging strand of hair from her messy bun behind her ear. Sticking her hand out to me, I shake it "hello very nice nice to meet you" I say with a light smile. I glance at Elijah, his eyes are red and have tears coming down from them. Summer dusts her hand off on her pants, "Well um let me tidy up, Elijah you should've told me you were bringing a guest" she says. "You never answer because you're always drunk". She clears her throat and continues to walk away. "Here Ill show you my room" Elijah says walking away expecting me to follow. We walk up the stairs and as soon as we step inside Elijah slams the door. "This is exactly why I didn't want you to meet her" he immediately starts crying and walking back and forth in his room. "Hey hey hey, Elijah calm down its okay" I say in a soft voice trying to calm him down. "No its not okay! do you see her?! shes a fucking drunk. and I'm a horrible son because I don't even know how to help her". "hey come here" I say while walking towards him and embracing him. He just cries and cries. Busting through the door comes his mom "I'm making food" she says startling us. Elijah and I followed her out the room. Once we get downstairs, we all sit down. It is very silent at the table, until his mom speaks up "I already know that Elijah has told you bad about me" nobody says anything.."bu-but I promise I'm not as bad as he makes me seem" She literally slurs while sweating excessively. "Okay that's it" Elijah says while slamming his fork down and getting up from the table. "Get your stuff Rose lets go" Elijah says to me. "But-" .."GET YOUR STUFF LETS GO!" Eijah says raising his voice at me. I start to get up from my seat, but get pulled back from Summer. "I promise I'm not a drunk" she says falling all over me, with breath that reeks of beer. Then Elijah pulls me by my arm, which causes his mother to fall on the ground followed behind a scream. I turn back around to see his mother on the floor sobbing, as I'm pulled out the front door.
