Anna's POV

Hours ago.

I feel like my head will explode.

Napadami ata ang inom ko ng alak. Tumingin ako sa paligid, and again, I feel like puking. Everything was blur.

I could hear him and Mel laughing their ass out. Kitang-kitang namiss nila ang isa't-isa.

Gusto kong makasali sa usapan nila, kaya naman sa panghuling beses, I tried standing up. It didn't work though, cos instead, lalong sumakit ang ulo ko. Umikot lalo ang paligid ko, and again, I blacked out.

"W-wala nga sabi yon. I'm drunk. I say stupid things when I'm drunk." I can hear her. The voice came from Mel.

"Mel," warning na sabi ng lalake. "What is it that I don't know about?"

Panandaliang tumahimik ang paligid. For a moment akala ko'y nakatulog na ang mga ito.

"I-It's nothing okay? You know what, I think kilangan na nating matulog. We've drunk enough already at-"

"Stop lying to me! Alam ko ang narinig ko!"

"Who knows what you heard is even right?" I can sense Mel is getting all worked up now. Gusto kong itigil ang anumang usapang ito ngunit ayaw gumalaw ng katawan ko. My head still hurts like hell and it sucks.

"I'm drunk. What you heard is probably wrong. Matulog nalang-"

"And drunk people mostly say things that are true." Depensang sabi ng lalake. Bigla atang nagising ang utak ko. He's here.

Oh. Malamang nandito siya! This was all for him in the first place!

"Drop it, okay? Pagusapan nalang natin to sa umaga pag nahimasmasan na tayo pareho." Narinig kong tumayo si Mel sa kinauupuan ngunit halatang pinigilan siya ng lalake.

"And what Mel? Do you really think palalagpasin ko to para bukas i-deny mo lang?" He paused for a second and continued. "I'm not that stupid."

"Sean, she has her reasons." She? Who's she? "Wag ka sanang magalit sa kanya okay?"

"Tell me why I shouldn't be mad at Anna right now kung nagawa niya yon sa sarili niya! And Mark? Don't even let me get started on him." Mapait na sabi ni Sean. This isn't happening. Say no more Mel! Please!

"That scar on her wrist... It's not because of him Sean." No no no! He can't possibly know that.

"Who cares Mel! The fact is, Anna was hospitalized for almost a week ng dahil sa kanya! If I had known this..."

"Sean..."

"He'll pay for this."

I didn't heard all of it. But I know what I heard was enough.

In that moment I wish I could tell him why. Hindi niya alam ang buong storya, and I don't plan on telling him.

I regret drinking with them today. I shouldn't have invited them over to drink and sleepover sa condo. Pero kung surpresahin ka ng bestfriend mo sa office who you haven't seen for years, and knowing tomorrow is your day off, what's a girl gotta do?
