Mon-El's heart was beating faster than he could run in a straight line. He could not believe Kara's own mother would harm her own daughter like that. Well, she was trying to help, or...

Mon-El didn't know what to think anymore, all he had running through his thoughts was how Kara was going to survive. Survive her greatest evil, her one true downfall. Kryptonite.

AT THE DEO 

THUMP

Mon-El landed with Kara in his arms, Alura quickly followed. 

"ALEX!" Mon-El shouted to get her attention, she was running an analysis of the database.

"Oh. My. Rao." ALex had learnt that word from Kara. Kara, the one who was about to die.

"Alex, she been stabbed." Mon-El trailed off, trying not to put the blame on Alura. 

"By who?! Who could have done this to her. I swear if I ever find them I'll-"

"It was me." Alura had cut Alex off, only leaving silence in the room and causing embarrassment within Alex.

"Well it doesn't matter who did it now. Agent Shott, prepare the surgeons in the medical room and turn on her sunlamps. She gonna need all the help she can get." Alex said, strangely, she was very calm.

Winn dashed out of the room, stumbling with every step, dropping the pen he had been chewing in his mouth onto the floor.

"Alex, why are you so calm?" Mon-El questioned her.

"Normally, I'd be running about with absolute craziness about me. But, Kara wouldn't want me to do that now, so I'm not doing it." She replied.

"Why not now?" Mon-El questioned again.

"Because, now I want to grant my sister's wishes of being here with her, calmly. Because this might be her last moment with me, and I couldn't forgive myself if I hadn't spent her last moments with her." Alex sighed, holding Kara's hand as Mon-El was still carrying her. 

"You guys are really getting on my nerves." Kara said as she yawned.

"Are you you, like normal you?" Mon-El said, being slightly off edge.

"Yep, I think the green kryptonite reversed the effects of the other kryptonite."

"Thank Rao, I thought I would have to take you down or something." Mon-El glanced at her.

She caught him starring after a while, the glance wasn't just a glance. It was a look. A long look.

"Anyywaayyyy, Kara you know me and you know how I'm always so optimistic when you get injured. But I'm not so sure this time." Alex sighed once again.

"Don't worry about me, I'm sure it will all be fine." Kara reassured her. 

Kara was lying. It was what she was good at, protect the people she loves and never put herself ahead of any of them. 

The doctor came back into the room, holding the results from the tests they took as soon as Kara came into the DEO. 

"It seems that the green kryptonite reversed the effects of the other substance, and while it should have killed her, it has strengthened her." The doctor said, looking very confused as he deduced the results.

"How can that be? My one downfall, my one poison is making me stronger?" Kara questioned. 

"I understand your confusion, I myself am very confused. I would like to take some more tests, inject supergirl with a concentrated amount of kryptonite to see if the same effects will follow, to see if it was a one time thing or not." the doctor said. 

"Okay, no problem." Kara said. No amount of kryptonite would ever scare her, most probably because she is not afraid of being hurt, or even of death.

AFTER THE TESTS

"Mon-El, after all this time of Kara being poisoned of kryptonite. People threatening her with it, and if these results come back as positive then all her enemies will have nothing on her, nothing! Oh wow this is amazing I cant wait to tell J'onn, Winn, Alura-

"Alex!" Mon-El cut her off.

"We don't know for sure that the results will come back as positive, so don't keep yours or anyone else's hopes up!" Mon-El said this with force, however his underlying emotions of hope outweigh his doubt.

The doctor came back into the room, pushing Kara in a wheelchair.

"I really feel stupid in this thing. I said I'm fine and I can prove it!" 

Kara got up with immense force, aaaannnnnd fell right back down onto the chair. 

"Okay maybe not yet, but in a minute." Kara rolled her eyes at her self and Alex and Mon-El laughed with each other. 

"Well the results are in, not even Kara knows them. It seems they have come back as... positive." The doctor said with great relief.

Alex and Mon-El were stunned, jaws dropped.

"Kara can now live her life being completely immortal. Nothing in this world can kill her, that we know of, of course." The doctor finished, waiting for someone to say something. 

But no one did.
