Niall One Shot: Please Don't Cry

My alarm shattered through the darkness and I slapped the Snooze button. I groaned and looked at the clock, 4:15. It's way too early to be up. I rolled over and my eyes fell on my calendar. There was a red circle around today's date and then I remembered why I was waking up so early. I got out of bed and checked my phone. I had eight texts and one missed call. What, did the world end when I was sleeping?

From Sexy Styles: Wake up!! Our flight leaves at 6:30 and u better be there!! xxxx

To Sexy Styles: I'm going to b there. Stop worrying Hazza xxx

 From the REAL Liam Payne: I know today's going to be hard on u, but don't b too hard on niall for leaving. Love u xxxx

 From Eleanor: Hey :) i know how hard today's going to be but don't worry dani and i have planned a special girls night for the three of us :) xxx

To Eleanor: Yay! Can't wait!! and yes, i've been dreading this day for months xxxx 

 From Danielle: Hey abby :/ today's the day. I'm dreading it too. Make sure to wear waterproof mascara xxxx

 From Nialler < 3: Hey princess :) how's my beautiful girl today? I know it's super early babe and I'm sorry but we couldn't get a later flight xxx

To Nialler < 3: Morning :) I'm awake, just getting dressed. El and Dani r picking me up and I'll meet at the airport  xxx 

 I closed my phone and started to get dressed. I pulled my brown hair into a messy bun and quickly swiped on some makeup. I put on one of Niall's Ireland sweatshirts and my black yoga pants. I slipped on a pair of flip flops and grabbed my phone. 

I tiptoed downstairs, my family was still sleeping. I quietly opened the front door and shut it behind me. Eleanor's car was waiting in the driveway and Danielle was standing next to it. I ran over to her and she hugged me. "This sucks," I whispered and she laughed. "I know, believe me I know." I started to cry and Danielle had to choke back a few sobs. 

"Hey girls. Are we going to the airport or not?" Eleanor poked her head out the window and I wiped away my tears. 

"Calm down El, we're coming, " I laughed and was about to get in the back when Eleanor shook her head. 

"Oh no. This is your first time. You're sitting in the front." I shrugged and slid into the front seat. I looked at Eleanor and Danielle, they were both wearing sweatshirts and yoga pants too. Eleanor pulled out of my driveway and we were on our way. I stared out into the darkness and blinked back tears. I felt a hand wrap around mine and I smiled at Danielle, who was also holding back tears. 

"So Abby. How long have you and Niall been dating?" Danielle asked. "Nine months, last week was our anniversary." I smiled at the memory of Niall trying to row across the river that was across from my house. I've never laughed so hard in my life. 

"Aww really? That's sweet. Have you said I love you to each other yet?" Eleanor asked, keeping one eye on me and one eye on the road. I sighed and played with my phone. "No, we haven't." 

"What?" El and Dani shrieked, Eleanor almost swerved off the road in shock. "Wait, Abbs, do you love him?" Dani asked. I looked at Danielle and Eleanor and realized that they were my best friends. I could tell them anything. "Of course I love him! And I was going to tell him that on our anniversary but I chickened out. I don't think he loves me though." Eleanor shook her head and pulled into the airport parking lot. 

"Of course he loves you, have you seen the way he looks at you?" I blushed as we got out of the car. "Oh speak of the devil, look who's here." Danielle laughed and Louis, Liam, Zayn, Harry, and Niall who were standing outside the airport entrance turned and looked at us. I blushed as I saw Niall enthusiastically wave to me.

Eleanor nudged me and said, "Go get 'em tiger." I ran across the street, ignoring the strange looks from bystanders and ran into Niall's arms. He spun me around and whispered in my ear, "I don't want to leave you." I remembered Liam's text about not giving Niall a hard time and blinked back tears. "I'm going to miss you, Nialler." He took my hand and we joined Liam, Danielle, Louis, Eleanor, Harry and Zayn. 

Louis was telling some story about how this girl dissed Kevin(his fake pigeon) and how he went all Sass Master from Doncaster on her. El and Dani were laughing, but I was staring at the ground. I wasn't going to be seeing Niall for three months, could our relationship last? What if he found some other girl? I was lost in thought so I didn't even notice when Niall stopped, letting the others walk ahead. 

"Abby? Babe?" I realized that Niall and I were standing in the middle of a crowd and he was staring at me intensely. He was wearing a green shirt and sweatpants, but he still looked hot. His blond hair was flattened underneath his New York Yankees hat and his blue eyes sparkled. God, I loved him so much. But what if he doesn't love me? I looked at his confused face and made up my mind. I'm not going to tell him that I love him. I'll just sound like a idiot if he doesn't say it back. 

"Nothing, Nialler. Just don't forget about me, k?" I kissed him, a quick second of feeling his lips against mine, then I turned around and ran.Yes I know I'm a total chicken, but please don't judge me too fast. I ran through the crowds in the airport, fighting back tears. I paused for a minute next to a Starbucks stand to catch my breath when I heard a loud Irish voice yell "ABBY! ABBY!" I watched Niall run through the crowds, searching for me. The look on his face broke my heart, his face was full of despair and I could tell he was trying to not cry.

He saw me and ran over to me. He picked me up and shook me. "Abby, why'd you leave? You scared me. I love you." I froze and mentally replayed what he just said. 

"Wait, what?" I squeaked, trying to breathe. He looked at me, slightly confused. Then Niall realized why I was confused and grabbed my hands. He looked deep into my eyes and said, "Abby, I love you with my entire heart." I tried to form coherent thoughts, but it's not every day that Niall FLIPPING Horan tells you that he loves you. 

"Princess? Say something?" 

"Niall, I love you too." Before I could say anything else, he kissed me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I put my hands on his shoulders and I melted in his arms. 

My life is perfect.
