Tristan knew he should not be doing this...
As a bunny, an a young, Omega one at that, it was very looked down upon for his kind to venture so far from the valley where the village was... and so close to the forest.
For generations the prey hybrids that lived in the valley— such as the bunnies, the mice, squirrels, chipmunks, goats, sheep, and deer— lived either far from or just outside the forest. Only the Alphas of the village were allowed to venture into those places, wether it be for wood, food, or... to trade with different creatures living within the forest. These creatures usually being... predators.
Years ago, predator hybrids and prey hybrids only ever crossed each other's paths for one reason... the predators hunting the prey. Yes, once upon a time, predator hybrids used to feed on prey hybrids just as they do on normal animals. A disturbing thought, yes, but thankfully those times had changed...
Mostly.
Which is why Tris really should not be this close to the forest.
But the sixteen year old couldn't help himself. He wanted to surprise his brother with a nice, tasty blueberry pie for his birthday the next day. And, yes, while he could always trade for blueberries, the juiciest, tastiest berries were only in one spot.
The forest.
So the little bunny cave to the forest's edge, dressed in a soft baby blue dress with a pink apron and a basket hooked at one elbow. His little tail wiggled at his lower back, and his cute, fluffy ears twitched as he listened for any noises. When he heard nothing he carefully stepped beyond the bushes and into the forest for the very first time...
Tris wandered a little into the forest, trying his best to keep as quiet as possible as he sniffed for the sweet scent of blueberries. Finally, his eyes spotted them...

The Omega squeaked happily and then wandered closer, his sweet scent of gardenias and cherries and fresh baked goods intensifying as he got to work picking berries happily. Not knowing that that scent had attracted the attention of a predator...
